hey sorry for the late reply again! we'll work out something to get to the market.... i think it's so awesome that you're son is growing up with a family passionate about eating sustainability. lucky lil fella ;) ... lol... i don't know much about gardening... just eating the produce. my sister however is the gardener. she's moving to Melbourne in July to do a full year course in sustainable landscaping so she could probably fix you up a wonderful garden when she returns from her course =)
ahhhhhhhh... so sorry! just saw your reply!!! lol.. i had to re-read your mum comment so many times! i did not get what you meant by 'its not kool to bring your mum'... i was like who's mum? mine? yours? what?! haha! i'm on my L's too.... I think everyone has a fear of driving! I would love to see the Willunga mrakets one day... you, me and Lucia can all go and you can show us the best places... and that organic store sounds cool too! I love the white sapote... not a fan of the chocolate one. that's so cool that you have a plant. I was saving the seeds from my sapote but my dad threw them out >.< I've done a raw food class with Kayla from natural naughties, you may have heard of her? I think I've heard of those other raw classes too.... you have a nice day! it's so sunny! =Di'll ad you on facebook!
That sounds great! :) You planting anything exciting? I'm hoping to buy some fruit trees but want to try some more exotic sort of fruits before I decide which to buy :) My mum also recently poisoned a lot of weeds so I'm quite wary of what to plant and where to plant it. Ah I see, it's always important to listen to your body. I eat loads and loads of bananas haha I have a huge appetite, so I suppose that's another great benefit of raw for me :D I used to work at flagstaff foodland but they no longer need me because they hired new junior casuals. I was quite upset but I guess I just have to get a better job right ;) I never noticed the organic fruits/veg at pasadena. I used to go there quite often a few years ago on the way back from the orthodontist. I love it :) Oh wow thank you, that's a great idea. I just have to wait a little while they accept my lifestyle it a little more, otherwise they might thing i'm pressuring them.. Thank youu, I need to just be myself and not worry what others thing otherwise it'll hold me back in life. I'd love to come to some of the seminars. Thank you, that would be great if you could notify me :) Haha yes I noticed that even before I tried raw. I'm still on my Ls. I have to save up some money for driving lessons, but that will be hard without a job.. So I'll be job hunting for a bit.. It's great your mum is willing to drive you around :) Yep I know just what you mean, my family are barbecue addicts :( My little brother used to eat bowls and bowls of migoreng 2 minute noodles.. But he is a tad more health conscious than my mum and said he would stop eating it and asked my mum to stop buying it but she still did... They always get so angry if I even bring up anything related to health. Haha I hope you enjoyed your food:) My number is 0411885315 xxx Also do you have facebook?
Hello fellow Adelaidian!!!! I live in Magill..... I read your in Happy Valley, gosh there must be an abundance of fresh local produce there considering it's up in the hills! How long have you been following this lifestyle? I've been on and off since late December, but am becoming more consistent lately (i.e. not eating as many cooked carbs). How often do you come to the City? I wrote on Lucia's wall that It would be awesome to meet her but if we could do a group meet up... like a fruit party in the botanics or a trip to the Central Markets or luch at Bliss Organic Cafe would be cool... I'd love to come down your way but driving up hills makes me dizzy! haha
I'm quite new too. I've been on the site a few times before but only recently made an account :) Yea it is a little confusing, some sort of notification option would be handy. I'm from Flagstaff hill so only a few minutes away :D Yep I'm 18. I just finished Uni last year and was doing animal science at Adelaide Uni but due to my hormonal problems I was having memory problems and really bad brain fog which I'm pretty sure was triggered and worsened by stress. I also decided not to defer because from what I saw in the course I was pretty sure I didn't want to continue. The animals were treated in a cruel manner which I did not want to participate in during animal handling where I would have to do the same. I also would struggle with the dissections knowing an animal was killed just so that I could cut it up to see its insides. The possible career options also didn't look very animal friendly.. At the moment I'm working casual at Foodland :) Yea I'm amazed how much better I feel HCRV. I'm only about 60-70% raw and plan to settle on 80%. I was so surprised that after about a month of high raw vegan that my period returned after 15 months. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence but some other female 30BaD members seem to also benefit from raw foods when it comes to their menstrual cycle. I haven't been to any talks yet. Are they announced on any websites. I'd love to go though, it's great that you encourage your family to follow such a healthy lifestyle, you must really care for your family a lot. It's so great to hear that your family are also willing to accept the HCRV lifestyle. I wish my family were even a little bit supportive. Yea it would be great to meet more HCRVegans in our community :) Do you go to any of the events? You can meet lots of interesting people, it's great. I'm definitely trying to wean off the cereals and salt. I just have to go to the markets more often and buy more fruit :) I used to poo every 3 or so days on SAD now I poo about 3 times a day and I still eat some cooked foods. I definitely feel better after a fruit meal though but too many bananas make me feel a little sick before I even get full but it goes away after an hour or so. What fruits have been working best for you? <3
