Oh, and in the meantime, it can't hurt to lay your own hands or those of a trusted friend/loved one gently on the painful regions. We may not know everything about how the laying on of hands works, but that it does is indisputable.

One thought I just had that you might consider, especially since you are in the East, is to look up a qualified, well-recommended holistic healer that employs some healing art such as Qi Gong.
(note, I haven't watched thise vids in their entirety, but I know enough about the concept in general to be intrigued. All the best!)
