Hey dear, did you ever move to Bristol? Did you find any 811ers? If you're there still, I'm going to pop down at some point in the next few weeks before I leave the UK, t'would be awesome to meet up for a dosage of fruit! x Holi
I'm no longer in Belize. Stayed there for three months, then went traveling Central and South America. Robert and Marcell did sell the place, but to a guy who wanted to continue the spiritual/healing retreat. Here's the new website:
I think they're still looking for volunteers, so definitely email them. The best times of year to be there are from October to Feb. It doesn't rain in March and April, all the leaves fall off the trees and it gets blisteringly hot. Belize is a great introduction to C. America ... a little less 3rd worldish.
Sweet! Well thats cool, what you gonna be studying?
Would definitley be up for meeting :) Never met another LFRV, not that I am 100% myself.... yet!
I would think it would be easier (and cheaper) to get fruit up there just because it's more rural than down here, more farmers markets perhaps??? I havn't explored much up there though, down here well there is one massive indoor market that sell fresh stuff everyday but most of it isn't organic, but it's better than the supermarket stuff most of the time.
I'm totally planning going away this Summer for 3 months to WWOOF somewhere tropical :D Got Hawaii in mind, it looks like paradise and the fruit there is so accessible and cheap, so I think it would be an awesome place to go 100% Raw!
Hey, just read a comment of yours regarding University and 811. I just completed a 2:1 Economics Degree from the University of Birmingham. I went from a meat eating, tea loving and late night student life kinda guy to 811. Can it be done? Yes, Of course it can, if you really want it to be done.
I'm here to help with any tips or questions you have. Doing 811 at uni was actually more fun than doing 811 at home with the family! Just message me and I'll give you my email address. I check that more often than 30Bad.
I just purchase insanity the other day! I was doing p90x, but insanity look more fun. How are you liking it? I did the plyometric one yesterday and OUCH my arms are so sore haha.
Hey AJ! Start to give some lectures in your area. 99% of people never heard of what you know - and you know much! So check out your local food-store and tell them who you are , what you do and how much amazing things you can prepare. Put up some flyers and start organize some workshops or even talks, on smoothies, low fat and why not some easy peasy simple raw gourmet. Talk about common things, like people dont need to go 100 raw you know, but cut the dairy, gluten, flesh and eat more fruit, vegs. You can run everything on donation. People are quiet willing to pay you good. So you can earn money. If you have a laptop you can make nice flyers too. Just an idea. Also get the word out via newspapers and so on. Start small , you´ve done it already. And you can do it more so! If you need whatever help suggestion lemme know. Also on Skype: Bonafe Ivan. Your plans of Permaculture Master are really great. In Vienna they have good courses and bachelors at the Uni, if you speak some german you may want go there. Keep it up and lemme know how your going please - In all cases hey! HUG
