Nope, DR is not misleading anything. He has said hundreds if not thousands of times that if coming from a background of restricting or any other time of eating disorder that there will be a period of a few months to a year or more where the body readjusts and during that time weight gain is common. If you read my update on the post you will see that now, after two and some years I have gone down to 150lbs. I started to lose weight around the 18 month mark. After one year i did not gain anything but remained stable for 8 months. My fitness and overall health continued to increase however. I have not weighed myself for over a month but I have continued to lose so I am closer to 140lbs now. Within a year I wil have the same body appearance as any other long termer on this lifestyle.
I came from severe restricting with purging every time I ate for several years, so without a doubt my body gained weight! I much prefer this trade off. Just a few more weeks to a month and I would have died living the way I was (literally, starving my heart then exposing it to trauma several times a day from purging, developed a heart murmur and experience several minor heart attacks). I am so glad |I gained that weight for the first 18 months. I'm alive now to enjoy this weightloss and the life I have ahead of me. and yes, still eating 3000 pus cals a day, no overt fats.
hey there raw power! thanks for the add, I see you are from Lithuania, my boyfriend is polish and we will be going to Poland for a short holliday to do some fruit eating somewhere the next couple of months, maybe you know some good fruit places?
