Glad to find another who's been doing the same. (: I think it might've been in that thread of yours that I first caught word the book (well, at least it was via 30BAD, about three years ago).
My man, how is the re-entry going? You headed up North yet? I saw you got some blood tests done....curious if you were taking any b12 supplements before that? Hope it's all smooth rolling for ya........Pindorama seems to be a dead end lead. Will keep ya posted on S.America. Still in Thailand, having trouble leaving. Good trouble though. Back to Trang to get the proverbial s*** togetha! Talk to ya soon!
Sounds good! I don't know the spot, but I'll look for it. Sorry this reply is so late, the train wasn't exactly on time, if you know what I men. 3+ hours behind schedule. Am leaving the hostel pronto.
Cool, perhaps it would be prudent to try and arrange a time to meet up? With luck I'll be staying at the hostel I mentioned and so meeting at the Lumphini station would work for me. Go to the park or the market after? 3:00 work? Let me know what would work for ya, cause it isn't like I have a schedule for tomorrow beyond feeding my face!
Hey Stephen, I'll be rolling in to BKK on the morning of the 4th. I'll take a room at ETZ if there is one available. Likely very close to Charlie's place as it is near the Lumpini station and the park. Will you be in town on that day?
Hey hey! Cool, looking forward to meeting up! I'll likely know an exact date soon, but for the moment am shooting for around the 5th. Sorry I can't be specific just yet, am considering a number of things. I'll get back to ya in a couple days. Does going home mean a return to Oz?
No problem with the change of plans. But, I'm not sure if I'm keen to head straight to Bangkok from KL. Jesse ( a member here) will be arriving in KL around the same time as me, and it looks like we may be in KL for a day or so before heading over to Kuching in Sarawak (where Jessica Chen is) to travel a bit there and try the local durians. From Jessica's descriptions the durians are worth the trip. This is still not definite, but it looks likely. So to go to Bangkok for a few days would mean a flight up and then another back down. Anyhow, I would really like to hang out a bit you, Olivia and Ryno, so I'll think about ways to make it happen. If not this time, then I'm sure we'll cross paths some day.
OK, sounds good. I'm looking forward to finally meeting. Let me know when you know for sure. I'll be arriving at 6.30am on Feb 6, and I guess I could hang out in KL for a couple of days, especially if I have someone to share durian with at Chow Kit market. I was in KL 3 times last year and stayed in a place called Step Inn guesthouse, and I'll probably stay there again. It's pretty cheap, convenient and has a nice relaxed feel to it. Where do you usually stay in KL?
Stephen! Great to hear from ya! Well it looks like our paths can cross then. I'll be stopping in Bangkok before heading north sometime early Feb. I'm down south now, having a short rest-up in Koh Lanta......back to Trang today to get my s*** together. Where do you stay in BKK? I get a place near the park when I'm there. Talk to ya soon!
Thanks for the info, Stephen. I heard back from Darrick, and I'll probably go to Davao some time in Feb or March. So, I arrive in KL on Feb 6 early morning, and I have no clear plan at this stage after that. Where are you going to be between Feb 6 and when you leave on Feb 8? If you are near, it would be good to catch up if you are free.
Hey Stephen! I see you're still in Thailand, or have come back! Not sure if I'll make it to Ko Phangan this time around, but it'd be cool to meet up if plans allow otherwise. Is this island now your home?
How's life back in Oz? Are you back there long term, or will you be travelling againn? I'm still here in Tokyo, freezing in the winter. But I'll be off again for Feb/March and heading to SE Asia again. Before I go I'd like to check up on the durian situation again. I seem to have developed a mental block of where and when the durian will be happening around that time. So, I thought I'd drop you a line to tap into your travels in SE Asia. Can you refresh my brain on this. Also, have you been in contact with Nick Green or Darick at all. I've tried sending both of them messages over the past year, but no response from either of them.
Good to hear you'll be in Melbourne soon. Did you get my facebook invite? I am having a fruit party on the 26th at my house in brunswick. You're welcome to join us. Maryanne will be down from Newcastle too.
The Melbourne community is about to transfer to a brand new Group on 30BAD. Why? We have had a few website issues with the current group, and the easiest way to fix this is to start afresh.
The existing Melbourne 811 Group is due to removed over the coming days. Thank you for your understanding, and we intend to get things rolling as quickly as possible!

Hey Stephen, maybe I can swing by Charlie's and grab a couple flicks from ya. Hmmmm? 2:30 ish?

It's a pity we'll probably miss each other again. What are your plans back in Oz? And, what is Nick up to in Brazil?

Hi Stephen. Thanks for the friendship. I like to read your blog post.
Keep on rockin in the free world.
