Yeah Iceland is a really popular to travel to. Its very beautiful here, I highly recommend it! And yes right now(just started) I'm buying my fruit and veggies in supermarket, but I'm defiantly going to find some wholesaler or other fruit sellers :D
Thanks! Iceland is good, really a nice place. I wished though there where some farmers markets here but not any so I know of :/ how do you get you're fruit and veggies?
My real name is 'Mel' :) I am into Astronomy and purple is a colour I am fond of, hence the choice in name here. Good to be connected Alex, how are you doing there?
Ah, you should check out Gogol Bordello then. Their message is one of cultural acceptance and unity- very important IMO. Also, I'm really into this band Propaghandi. If you don't like punk you will probably not like their sound, but the members are vegan and a lot of their songs reflect that so it totally does it for me.
I'm also a huge fan of bluegrass-not country, haha. Something about well played banjos gets me going! But music is my life outside of vegan, I sing and play guitar/piano so I've always been a HUGE music head. How about you?
Oh wow I love all those bands! I haven't heard of Stic, but the rest are great. I love As We Enter by Nas and Damien Marley =]
I listen to a liiittle French music myself, mostly this band Deportivo and Carla Bruni, haha. I recently got into this band SOJA, real chill stuff, based on the list you gave me you might like em.
My personal taste definitely errs towards punk. My favorite band is Gogol Bordello followed closely by Bad Religion.. a really good vegan punk band I listen to is Propagandhi, and I also love Red Hot Chili Peppers. I feel like I've never met someone who didn't like them, haha- plus the singer Anthony Kiedis is vegan which is aaalways a plus =]
Truth about the mangoes, I had started to come to that conclusion on my own after noticing. We really only have access to kent and atualfo up here, so sad =[
What do you grow other than mangoes andd(I believe you said you grew) jackfruit? I'm workin on a celery plant, but the heat's a bummer =/
Your comment yesterday made me smile, definitely a great start to a great day =]
I'm surprised it's cooler in Florida than it is up here, though! Today's not so bad, only about 80. Unfortunately I'm feeling a liittle sick today(see my latest blog post for details) but hopefully I'll get out and enjoy it a little before the sun sets.
Thanks for the mango info! I'm glad to hear they're not devoid of fiber. That worried me a little since they're my favorite, but also fiber is you know pretty essential, haha.
Anyways, how's the blog coming along? Also just noticed your birthday was a couple weeks ago sorry I missed it on here but hope it was great!
Hey dude! How's your summer going? It's 100 degrees up here in Philly so I can only imagine what it's like in Florida. Just watched your mango video and shared it on my blog(porcedex.tumblr.com), I'm totally going out to get a case of mangoes now =]
and ps my favorite kind is ataulfo- you know much about them? They're the easiest to peel IMO, but they're advertised as being "fiber-free," was wondering if that was true =/
Haha, so true! I've adopted this giant cardboard box as my official fruit transporter/container, workin well so far =] So idk about you but for me it's summer right now, home from college and all. What about you, forget if I asked if you go to school?
Hey! Everything's goin well, thanks! How about you? Anything new?
I'm back in Jersey atm, gonna be between here and Philly for the summer. Such a pain hauling all my fruit! I'm still workin on getting a new computer, hope you're still down to skype when that happens =]

Whoops didn't word my question so clearly, haha. I meant to ask, what(other than fruit) is big in your life?
Although fruit is pretty all-encompassing when you eat it like we do ;)

Oh man I've never even encountered half the fruits you got goin on! Sounds like you're set ;) Thanks for the link btw!
Soo you should tell me something non-fruity about yourself =] Assuming you're into music, what do you like to listen to?
