That's cool, I will try to make your 7/14 release! Not working nearly enough this summer so am hoping to actually get to attend some concerts for once. And thanks for the heads up on the you-know-what club, I joined. I would LOVE to meet some other fruitheads, I've actually been doing the mostly-raw thing (now am 100%, but it's more difficult for me than most b/c I have an allergy to citric acid) for over a year with NO support and, well, that's got to end. Look forward to meeting you sometime, I'm sure we can play the "Hey do you know _______?" game with much success!
Yay! My first friend! (My mom always said I'd get one if I tried hard enough...)
Actually, no, I didn't play that concert, although I hated to miss Jeff! I play in 9 different groups in the Bay Area, plus sub w/SF Symphony and Opera, so sometimes I can't be in Santa Rosa. French horn, BTW. You playing anywhere soon?
You're most welcome!! It was cool to check it out. You did well. I don't play bass, although, the bass was my first string instrument when I was a teen. I can really appreciate the bass now that I'm older. I've been teaching myself the ukulele and I play kinda awful, but it's fun. I made youtube videos. bahaha -- they are ridiculous. On the other hand, YOU sir, have some gifted talents.
Hey Josh, I just saw that you live in Santa Rosa ?! I live in Petaluma, just a town over. At least, i grew up there, and go to school in San Diego...presently studying in Paris for the semester. But i am home for a good bit of the year and will be home all summer starting the end of this month. I have a couple fruity friends in San Diego (of my own conversion:) but none in norcal; i would love to try to meet up some time if you like! I miss sharing meals with others :)
Hello :) Yes was a short layover, no time for socializing this time. Thanks for the tip about posting in the bay group but I actually went straight to my hotel and passed out, so no worries. Take care!
Hi Josh :) I'm headed home to Portland Oregon from Thailand and am going to be in San Francisco on Sunday evening the 29th for an overnight layover. Im coming to you as you are most active person i see from san fran and was wondering if you knew any chill person who would be able to come to airport or a nearby hotel and bring me some ripe fruit! I would pay extra of course... maybe i can pack enough dried fruits to not need this but wanted to keep my options open... dont want to fall off the wagon at airport and spend ridiculous amounts of money on one vegan sushi roll or something. Anyways, no stress just wanted to see if this was realistic for anyone in san fran area to help a girl out :) cheers!
Hi Josh! I can't believe I just figured out how to view all of my comments form people! And I JUST saw yours! We have had the site up since November 2011. I have been vegan for ~3-4 years. I lost track! And transitioning raw for about a year. I'm so glad you like the site! and thanks for the support! Love your work as well! Thank you for the compliment. :)
Bah ok. Well I'll let you consider the scenario if someone from Minnesota and someone from Tennessee both want to move somewhere a little different, maybe California -but not really sure where, and would love to have a roommate living the same lifestyle. I've chatted to people like this who are more interested in moving in with a fruity person than they are about exactly where they're going.
Oh I would so love to go to Woodstock! Although I'm not sufficiently moneyed this year. I'll visit America at some point, though, because my brother lives near San Francisco. I gather it's a pretty spectacular place to live :)
Mangoes sound amazing! the last time I had mangoes was when I blew up my cheap blender making a mango smoothie. Ha ha. I can't wait until summer is in full swing because I am becoming an heirloom tomato connoisseur! The yellow ones are so good. O_O So, since you live in Cali, do you ever go to Hawaii?
Yeah, I hear ya. Alabama doesn't exactly have a lot of good fruit right now either. I was wondering about the SF area, however, because my cousin just moved there. Do you prefer Southern Cal in terms of a place to live then or is SF better? :)
