Hello, Datiger.

I appreciate you're seeking to improve your health and we're more than happy to help you reclaim it, but as you already know based on what you wrote in your "811 isn't for me anymore" thread, some of your subject matter there is out of bounds for our site.

This is particularly true of your potentially non-vegan sentiments.  You are your own man, and have to make your own choices in life, but I urge you to consider the welfare of other lives, such as our animal friends, as you do so.

Provided you elect to remain vegan, which is a requirement for membership on this site, let's see if we can't figure out your health concerns as a group, ok?  Leave off mentioning your potential dietary experiments for now, as such a high percentage of fat and protein are also contrary to our recommendations, and just  provide your health statistics (which I copied for you below out of your post) and your lifestyle factors, only one of which is diet remember.

Here are some helpful tips on how best to seek aid here:

All the best!

I've been on 811 on and off for about a year and strictly vegan w/out oils and rarely any nuts. sometimes I would eat some Quinoa or potatoes.

I have serious dysautonomic issues and depression/anxiety. I used to cover it up with alcohol and became an alcoholic for 7 years until I couldn't walk or move. I haven't been able to walk and my whole body cracks/breathing/heart irregularities, brain fog, lower back pain, teeth pain, chronic fatigue, my blood pressure increases over 200/130 w/pulse of 150 beats when I stand and when I lay down it falls to 100/50 w/pulse of 40 beats. I could list 100's of symptoms, it's been unbearable and the doctors haven't been able to help at all!!!! Except diagnose me saying that it's a dyfunction in my autonomic nervous system, but can't find what's causing it.

Hey Datiger,

I'm trying to coordinate some fruitlucks in LA. I'd love it if you could join and help me promote it a bit to any locals who are also on the fruit train =) =) =)

Check it out.

hi there ! I only made few of those meals, and the rest of the pictures I found online. so now they serve as a inspirational source for me when I prepare my own food. that's one of the most important things on this lifestyle I found, to always keep yourself inspired :)

thanks for the request

Hi Datiger, thanks for your reply to my comment on dysautonomia. What you have sounds really hard to live with, and I am glad for you that they are now able to put a name on it. I have a bit of orthostatic intolerance, but not as bad as you! How long have you been eating low fat raw vegan? does it help you?

Do doctors propose something to treat you (apart from eating more salt)?

In my case, the neurologist prescribed a skin biopsy, an electromyogram (tomorrow) and in august I will get an IRM of the spinal cord. But the doctor thinks it will be very hard to get a diagnosis :-(

Yeah, not quite 7K, my max was about 6600. Fun, but also kind of a pain to eat so much. I'm on a little break from lifting, either gonna pick it back up or start something else soon. I definitely thickened up a little bit, although I'm still a beginner so I don't look like a bodybuilder or anything.

Depends where you buy.  I live on Big Island, and there is a great market in Hilo, but we also grow most of the food where I live so there is no need to buy much....thankfully!

Hey Tim, glad to help bro!

I have a few questions first to help me out in answering: How many calories from fruit are you eating each day? How much water? How much sleep?

It may be insufficient calories, so I would definitely recommend at least 3,000 from fruit per day (track with www.cronometer.com) and eat more if you care to.

Water: Aim to drink enough so you are peeing clear at least 10 times per day and  a few times at night. 3-5 liters is usually good to aim for, especially when you're just starting.

Sleep: As much as you care for/can! This is a mistake a lot of people make, not sleeping enough. 9-11 hours per night is a common number to consistently kick ass. :)

I wouldn't recommend restricting your fruit because you haven't worked out yet or anything. The best time to eat is immediately after a workout, but it's not set it stone. On the days I'm totally sedentary (which isn't my favorite but sometimes happen) I typically eat around 3,000 calories from fruit. No guilt!

Greens are excellent, but I don't think they are absolutely essential every single day. Especially in the beginning, I would focus on eating enough calories from fruit before you worry about greens. Once you have that down, then you can try adding in more greens.

Smoothies really help with getting the calories from fruit in. They saved me for the first few months when I got started on 811! Banana smoothies specifically. Pulse them with water vs. blending fast. Creamier and tastier!

Feel free to ask any other questions Tim! :D

Take care and good luck!

Chris

Yes Durban and even Cape Town is great for surfing. Jeffreys Bay, Victoria Bay are the 2 most popular. I prefer CT as nature is so gorgeous there, but its much colder than DB.DB is humid and hot!! South Coast is nice to relax.

Yes I live in Gauteng, RSA. 800km from DB and  about 1300 from CT. Working on it to change that :)

Those Dragon fruit were imported form Thailand, what we have most here is grapes, watermelon, mangoes, bananas, papayas, oranges, apples, pineapples, cherries, strawberries, peaches, apricots, mulberries, custard apples, dates,.

Basically everything but Durian, Dragonfruit, Rambutans, Mangosteen,we cant get those here.
