30 Bananas a Day!

Self hate can feel like a really awesome, powerful motivator to get s*** done in your life.

First, you may feel you don't have 'self hate' so to speak, but rather a healthy level of self rejection that keeps you in check, That keeps you on track. That keeps you from falling into the worst of what you know you can be.

But my friend, know that this is simply self hate masquerading as self improvement. This is fear pretending to be something of benefit.

You may feel like the best motivation you have ever had to change what you felt was undesirable in yourself, was your absolute distain for this aspect of you.

You may fear that if you were to let go of your self hate, and truly step into self love, that this would mean abandoning all your ‘self improvement’ efforts.

That to surrender to self love would mean allowing yourself to stay exactly as you are now - with all your flaws, dysfunctions and negative aspects.

It would mean allowing yourself to stay in this body you don't like. In your terrible habits. In your painful mindsets. In all your 'stuff' that makes you unlikeable, un-relatable, unacceptable. 

You may have a secret fear that if you let go of your self hate, and allow yourself to fully embrace who you are, that you will turn into some kind of tyrant. Or worse - some kind of socially unacceptable FREAK who has no friends. Who is rejected by everyone.

Today, I want to explore the deep roots of self rejection we humans tend to carry, the hidden reasons why we are so resistant to letting go of our self hate, and how you can move into self love, knowing none of your fears are going to come true.
