When I began with HCRV with a lot of dates and figs, my teeth hurt because of all that sugar I guess. In February, it's winter in Germany - so no sunshine on bare skin.
Dates contain a lot of calcium - however, if your body has not enough Vitamin D3, you can't absorb all that calcium in order to help out your teeth.
Now it's summer and the problem seems to be solved... my teeth are just fine, nothing hurts and I can drink as much Datorade as I wish to... but something changed. I now get regularly sunshine on my naked skin. By being outside. But I also found a great alternative for inside buildings. Just search for "full spectrum lights". These are special energy saving light bulbs that emit exactly the same spectrum as the sun - including UVA and UVB (which triggers Vitamin D3 production). I now have this full spectrum light in my room and I just sit there during the evenings with my shirt off so that my skin can also absorb the UVB from this light bulb.
This should do the Vitamin D3 part for me. In terms of minerals for healthy teeth, I don't worry at all. I got so much Datorade each day - a true calcium bomb!
