Tropical Fruity Bliss... South Florida Livin'

Today I had lots of fresh fresh Passion Fruit juice for breakfast. Thought a lot about the Mango festival but I'm going tomorrow instead.

Acquired lots lots lots lots of Longans from my friend Tim's trees for a good deal, as well as Red Bananas, Ice Cream Bananas, and Nam Dok Mai & Shanghai Mangoes. Most of them grown with ocean water, and all organic. Mmmm. He also had teeny red & yellow Dragon Fruits. Tim is such a wonderfully sweeet guy. He offered me to work for him in Homestead caring for all the beautiful plants and fruit, what joy!

I cut open 1/4 of a Jackfruit and had that for lunch, since I couldn't afford the whole 40lb one after dropping so many clams on Tim's fruit. Mmmm, sticky. Got lots of stares and people asked if it was Mamey, lol. I heard someone say that it was Durian :P

Also saw Justin, (apparently he's hosting another 811 party soon!) who gave me a heads up about Dr. Graham coming down here again in August ;]

I'm off to forage around in South Miami. Already spotted several mangoes, avocados, sapodilla and papayas. Yum yum.
