Comment by Fruit fly on May 23, 2012 at 3:55am plus other hormons do colide(testosteron high and little low progesteron, they are all connected to thyroid problems).
The cruciferous vegetable never did me problems actually...
I do eat now garlic, as it lower my vein pressure and calm the autoimmunity. I know it is not perfect, but it does help with my situation at least for now.
Comment by Fruit fly on May 23, 2012 at 3:53am I do have TSH 4.6, but got a lot of hypothyroid symtoms, all my life I was in between 0.1-1 and then suddenly at 5.7, then I was in between 25->300mg in my past of levothyroxine (when I was about 0.1 about, so they drop it to 75 for 2years.
Then I did waterfast and my thyroid went to 2.5-3(and autoimmunity from 1300->250 which was great)....but then I went back to cooked whole food and some raw only and my thyroid went back to 5.6, now back to vegan and fruit and vegetables I am in 4.5...but I am really big girl and fatigue, eye bags, water retention, pain in joints from inflamation, moody, and no appetite, going to zero by now(I was eating from3000->1500-2000 by now, that is too low, but I am not really looking like underfed at all).... even when now I am still in range, they wanna try to put it down, if all disapear or there is another issue going on in my body, coz sometimes it happens, that the person is still in range, but having a lot of problem (range in here is 0.1-5). The problem I am still quite in soso range of weight (high normal), and so they dont think, something weird with my weight, but we know how tiny the frutarians are and vital.
Comment by Dovima on May 23, 2012 at 12:54am I'm having difficulty in this area too. But simply avoiding goitergenic foods like kale seems to be helping.

If your mean iodine/iodide supplements and you got a deficient you may want to try: http://www.iherb.com/Optimox-Corporation-Iodoral-180-Tablets/23904
Comment by Diospyros on May 23, 2012 at 12:12am Not sure, but check out the reviews (for example on amazon.com) for "lugol's iodine". Seems to be effective at helping some people for thyroid issues. Also a video on iodine and thyroid stuff http://www.bbc5.tv/video/iodine-misunderstood-nutrient
