Yesterday was the first day that my family was 100% vegan! When we started back in April 2012, Eli was still drinking organic cow's milk so I started diluting it half with water to begin the process. The children were still eating yogurt for a few months more, for the B12, but not Eli; he and I had some major bad stomach cramping that kept us up at night and once we figured it out we eliminated it.
I am soooo happy in my heart...it's so different from just being happy, I love it, it's like a peace, calm, joy, what I call "Utopian" kind of bliss. (though I've not read Thomas Moore's Utopia ;) - maybe when I find a free copy)
Hopefully now we will all do better physically, mentally and emotionally!
Even hubby last night said that he wants to eat green drinks only because the cooked foods always make him feel tired.
SO, just wanted to write this out, let anyone who reads this see how we're doing.
Also, I've been exercising 5 days per week, I've gone from a strenuous 3 to 6 minute jog on the rebounder, then I suddenly felt like really doing more...I'm up to 25 minute jogs just this past week!! I thought those who would exercise for 45 minutes were just a minority of people that were just built differently! I had forgotten that when we rode bikes, it was not less than 45 minutes and was closer to 2 hours!! The rebounder benefits say that it increases bone density as well as the cardio which moves the lymph. I'm hoping that since I have yet to lose weight, that I am increasing my bone density...I can just imagine that my bones look like coral!
So, so, so ready to keep going, do better, be healed, get fit and stay in shape!
