Comment by Peter Csere on July 19, 2012 at 11:35pm Yeah it's kind of hard to get out of a social situation where you (1) didn't bring fruit (2) already agreed to eat whatever they're making. But, we learn our lessons.

Yes, David. KNIVES. :-D
"Grains are quite addicting. If you find yourself caving, eat baked potatoes or millet. Would be better."
Except that millet is a grain.
(There are people who say that quinoa and millet and amaranth are seeds, not grains. Grains are grass seeds. Millet is a grain. Millet is also a seed. But it is a grain.)
Comment by Peter on July 19, 2012 at 8:26pm I used to mash a ripe banana on a whole wheat bagel. I no longer have a bagel bakery near me so I haven't had a bagel in years. I would continue to eat the occasional bagel instead of constantly thinking of having one. Don't get too hung up about it as it could continue to play on your mind. A whole wheat bagel is not such a bad choice. Just keep on enjoying your fruits and veggies. You will establish new favourites over time.
Old habits die hard. Give another month or two. You won't think about it anymore. :)

Comment by DURIANRIDER on July 19, 2012 at 11:49am Go for it. Eat as many bagels as you want. Compare it with how you feel on fruit. Experiment. Work out how many cals you need to live the dream life.

Comment by Peter Csere on July 19, 2012 at 7:13am As for the bagel... do you like feeling like there are knives stabbing you in the stomach (my experience whenever eating cooked food after a long period of 100% raw)
