You have seen those people on the internet. On t.v. In books.

The ones who were struggling, sad, in a terrible state. Who then went on some sort of spiritual quest, and ended up with a life of their dreams.

They found the loves of their lives. They healed their bodies. They got rid of their addictions. They got rich. They got successful. 

They started their own businesses. They became ultra athletes. They wrote books and got on Oprah. They became incredible.

They got you thinking that change should be some kind of straight line from feeling horrible to feeling amazing.

That each step should feel good. Should feel blissful. Should feel ‘right.’

So when you start trying to follow your bliss, when you start to try to change your life, and you get the S*** scared out of you, things don’t look blissful, things actually seem to get WORSE you think you did something wrong. That it doesn’t work for you. That they are lucky and you are not.

This is total junk you guys. 100% crap.

None of 'them' are telling you the truth.

None of them are really willing to divulge the nitty gritty about the journey from pain, struggle and shame to awesome self expression and happiness.

Today let's look at the bit no one tells you about - that is actually the MOST IMPORTANT part of any transformation journey.

They are not lucky, and you are not broken. You can have your bliss life, you just need to know what that actually requires.

Ali what does your diet consist of. I was watching this video and read about your book but no mention of your diet currently.

I think also, that the points made here in this vid, are why " half measures " don't work.  " Half measures  " really don't ever get you to a place where you are creatively destroying the old patterns in order to form more blissful new ones.  Ali used the example of sitting in front of Netflix eating a whole pint of ice cream is NOT bliss.  And that is why getting into the " trap " of thinking that, o.k. well this month I'll switch to frozen yogurt, and then next month I'll switch to fruit sorbet, and then the next month I'll switch to frozen bananas, those kinds of " processes " that still allow us to stay " blissfully comfortable " often don't allow use to fully feel " blissfully successful ".

Ali - You are posting and VLOG'ing some great " stuff " - I have occasionally followed you, but, now I am starting to realize that you are excellently addressing so much of the important knowledge that myself, and my other friends, who are on the same " bus ", really want and need.  Props !

I think this is a great point, what happens and what is at the basis of our existence is forgetting pain. It's not an act or misleading, our brain just literally skips over the time that it took in the middle of the story to suffer immensely. No one talks about the middle cause we don't even process it well, we don't understand what the purpose is for this immense suffering and our focus is to wake up and get out of it. I assume you are talking about waking up but if you're not it doesn't matter it could be about anything. But we don't talk about it and I don't even talk about it because if you knew what actually happened no one would wake up. You wouldn't actually want what that is and what that reality brings for you.
