Well, when I first embarked on a raw foods diet I was a bit upset at the fact that I could only eat wet foods. Now I see it as the only thing I want. I see dry cooked foods now and I can't believe I once loved them. Yeah, of course some of them are still good, but just recently when I had some, not only did they smell so much better than they tasted, but my tongue felt burned by the heat and my mouth felt as though there was cotton in it.
I was not a happy girl. My thirst was insane and I was not even close to feeling alive. I felt dull and weak. I felt as though I was punched in the stomach. It was not a pain I was able to just ignore. I want to share this because for years I struggled to keep up with a raw lifestyle. I kept focusing on what I could not have, rather than what I could. Now I see how many wonderful hydrating foods keep me focused and alive. I feel more vibrant than I ever have. Now I see why I was brain dead during my days as a child. I was life less and day dreamed often due to "brain fog" from so many processed foods.
I want the original fast food and that means fruits and veggies. If things feel a bit wet and cold in the winter, I will occasionally warm them up in a dehydrator, but honestly, I am loving the wetness of the foods now and I crave them more now than ever. I love how I have become and it gets so much easier the more you do it.. In fact the more you do anything, it gets easier.
Also, my running improved so much so that I recover instantly and go about my day after 15 mile runs from Westchester to NYC. I am not only running more often than I used to, I am running faster and I feel lighter and have no digestion issues.
I would always think before I went fruitarian that it was normal to get my colds and sinus infections..How wrong I was. I love that I don't get sick like so many others who are plagued every other month with something else. I don't want to slow down, there is no need for it.
I no longer get depressed like I used to which allows for better communication and better relationships with others as well as myself. I am so much happier now and I have the fruitarian diet to thank. I feel privileged with the information that I have and I want to scream it out from the roof tops. I think that is why so many raw vegans on a low fat diet want to keep spreading the great words. http://www.facebook.com/pages/One-Fruit-At-A-Time/139013342836547
