SUCCESS, FAILURE, ACCOMPLISHMENTS, GUILT, SHAME, PRIDE, EMBARRASSMENT
success, failure, making it, accomplishments - they dont exist. they are all just thoughts, judgments. based on the past. they give us a fake idea of who we are, and who others are. they cause separation. competition. they make us feel either bigger and better than, or smaller and weaker than others. they lead us to feel fear or not getting what we think we need, crave and long for, or fear of losing it. they cause us to chase, grasp, need and to cling on to, manipulate, control and close our heart doors and minds towards others. because when we need something, this is what happens.
we need to defend or strive to hang onto our drug, or our idea of who we think we ARE. this person with this title, with status, this sense of identity, no matter what is it. it could be someone whom is a great mother, so is therefore afraid to say no to people and neglects herself, or someone whos identity is from being strong and athletic, or a matcho man, so is afraid to appear weak or vulnerable. drop the false ideas of who you are and you can be left with peace, ease, being genuine, simpleness and the beautiful freedom to say no or yes based on not from conditioning and ego, but simply from how you feel and what you feel is right and good. you are no longer controlled by "shoulds" and "shouldnts", fears, needs, programming, but are free.
being attached to labels also leads us to feel like we have to live up to the ideas people have of us, and the image and idea we have of ourself. we are less free, but bound to this. we have to live up to the expectations of others to fulfill our label. we are less open to change, less flexible, more rigid and constrained. dropping or loosening ideas, beliefs and labels of who we are leaves room for us to be open to more natural, more fluidic, more adaptable based on our given mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being in any moment. we are more authentic, more real, more sensitive to how we are in any given moment, and also more sensitive and connected with the mood, or well being with others too.
its the same with feeling pride, or feeling ashamed, guilty or embarrassed about things. in this case we are being attached and identified with past behavior. we mistake this for who we or others are. we mistake our actions, or someone elses actions or behavior for who they are, and the result is either pride or shame, feeling small or big, from what we have done or are doing. when you know who you Are, the essence identity of who you Are beneath what form you physical body takes, or what thoughts you think or have thought, what words you or others have spoken or things you have done, then you know you or they are none of these, and therefore things like shame, embarrassment, guilt and pride begin to fall away. it is as if you are not even talking about yourself when it comes to things you have done or not done, as it is not taken personally. it is not taken for who you Are.
anything we need is like a drug. we need a fix. we need others to think we are great, or even to think we are small so we can opt out of being powerful and taking responsibility. all out success will eventually fall into failure, as it the nature of the universe. constant change, expansion and dissolution. things coming and going, all the time. what wil be here one day, will be going or gone the next day.

one definition of success might be the dropping of resistance and judgment, feeling the peace beneath that always exists and is there, yet is only covered up with excessive mental/emotional activity. the Source that you Are is always there, ever-present, right now and here. when the mind be still, the emotions settle, the I AM be felt.
real success is seeing the perfection beneath the form of this present moment, within and "without". it is surrendered living, in any moment. it is is absence of resistance, ego, the mind, but also even the enjoyment of what is, gratitude, thanksgiving, appreciation, and even celebration.
now is a holy moment always. it is either a joyous moment, or a challenging learning moment. watch your judgments and negative automatic reactions. SEE them. be there as the witnessing presence that is aware of them. You ARE not them, but THAT which watches, knows..... sees....
feel the tension and unease that resistance and judgment causes. in particular watch the most prominent resistance pattern of judging/resisting things by using the words "should" and "shouldnt" in our mind, be it about someone, ourselves, our thoughts, emotions, or a situation, about anything. just witness and see how it feels and how it serves you. dont judge what you witness. unless you do, and then if you do, just accept and dont judge that fact. its all ok. a deeper layer of still non judgment/acceptance always lies beneath, now, in this moment.
we dont have to try too hard with this. just be with and accept how and what is right now, already. non judgment is effortlessness. it is actual judgment and resistance that is energy consuming and takes some effort. sometimes a lot of effort. non judgment is a relinquishing of mental activity which takes the form of judgments. it is a quietening, a relaxing, a peacefulness, a giving up of forcing and trying so hard, a nice calm relaxation and being at one with what is.
it is from this place of allowing.. of acceptance, of tranquil non judgment, of peace, that empowered, clear, right action can take place from, as it is not tainted with all sorts of negativity and heavy emotions. you can see clearly, and act clearly, precisely, directly. it is the source of very powerful and effective action.
