30 Bananas a Day!

As winter hits and the gloves come on in the frosty north, I'm finally hitting the quality of running I had a couple months ago before my foot decided to fall apart during the TNF 50 miler.  Perfect timing right?  I'll still whip on the raceready shorts a few times before the snow gets too deep.  Anywhooo...looking for some suggestions for LFRV snacks to stuff in the hand warmer.  Preferably something that won't get too sticky, and more importantly...something I can look forward to eating 15 or 20 miles into the run!  If you've got an easy "on the run" sticky foods solution, throw that in here as well.  Actually, if you've got anything at all to say, throw it at me, I could use some interaction from like minded people!

Cheers :D

thanks all, I'm leaning towards some fruit based drinks for right now...dates for some reason don't sit quite right with me :/ Maybe it would be easier to adjust what I wear on my long cold runs!

There are a lot of drinks you could invent with fruits

#1. pineapple + strawberries + ice + little of water

#2. mangoes + honey bee + ice + little of water

#3. banana's + strawberries + ice + little of water

#4. frozen banana's + blender + little of water = raw banana ice cream

#5. papaya & avocado salad

Ingredients

1 firm avocado

1/4 papaya

romaine lettuce

fresh lemon juice

Dressing

2tbsp balsamic vinegar

1tbsp honey bee

1/4 cup olive oil

Salt & paper

1/2 tbsp lemon zest

Hope these few dugestions worked :)

enjoy! :D

I know it's not a raw book, but what about checking "Thrive" by Branden Braiser...sorry if the spelling is off- and the whole title isn't there- but you can google it and get the info on the book, anyway, he has some gels to make in there to take with you on your runs...made from dates and all....I believe they are raw....or you can make them raw....but reading the book and adjusting some of the recipes may be a place to start. Why not also check out Running Raw videos on Youtube.......or just grab those dates, put them into a little baggy and head out!.....This is something I may just start to do in the next few weeks on my long runs as I prepare for my 50k's this coming year! Feel free to friend me and we can continue to help each other out, if that was a help of course!....
