That is a phrase used by Bill Phillips the man who started Body For LIfe.... His books were the beginning of my health and fitness journey. It was with body for life that I realized many things... #1 was how much crap i was eating.
Although the only thing I "follow" now with body for life is the eating many times a day... I still use and love this saying. I needed this saying last night as I sat with the family and ate a little bit of tuna and some homemade fries. It's funny to me how our brains work.. how this food stuff has so little to do with what is really good for us. Most people eat the way they were raised... what is easiest and what they think tastes best to them.
I want to eat food that makes me feel great. I have been feeling wonderful the last 2 days.... but last night I got tooo hungry. As I cooked the fries... I ate a few.
I love and hate the fact that after i ate this cooked meal I felt AWFUL! Horrible.... and sick. My tummy hurt most of the night and I just hated it.
Things happen for a reason and I know I can learn lots of things from any situation. THIS situtation has motivated me to stay with eating raw.
I will cook, clean, and shop cooked meals for the family because that is what they desire... but from now on... I will be raw. Its just not worth the stomach ache.
