30 Bananas a Day!

811 is coming around for me now. PRed on my 10k bike loop today, on a heavier bike to boot. Could have crushed it had I put in some effort.

After the ride, I ended up eating a pound of dried organic apricots. REALLY BAD MOVE. My guts felt like they were being knifed! Chased the apricots with a gallon of water, but it didn't help. Basically felt like s#!t for the rest of the day.

Figs and dates are my only dried friends. Lessons being learned every day. I have to say, I kind of expected this apricot situation to happen, but was in denial about it.

I really miss good salsa. I love it on salads. I'll have to try the lemon juice. that sounds like a good tip.

I'm a little bloated up today. I wasn't at home and didn't have a very good selection of acceptable food to choose from. I was surrounded by junk! I'd already served up the salsa and took a huge bite. Decided to just eat it to instead of risking tangling with something worse. The only thing I ate cooked at the two weekend parties was some olives. I wouldn't have eaten them if I had realized that they were cooked in a can.

I was very proud that I resisted basically unlimited amounts of some my absolute favorite foods (seafoods) cooked in gourmet fashion. It was really quite an amazing feat.

Although I don't have lemon juice, its better than salt so try that instead if you need a substitute. Yes salt will puff you up and ruin your tastebuds so be very very careful.

Ok, I give. You guys haven't been steering me wrong so far, so I'll call it water for now. Haven't changed my eating habits in any way (ie reduced cal).

I probably will bloat up tomorrow though. I accidentally got into some salt today via salsa.

Hey yes sounds very positive! Im impressed :) Im only giving you a hard time because I've been in the sort of mindset you are in and I won't to assist.

Fluid gain looks A LOT like fat trust me. I thought I had gained fat when I went to Thailand for 4months, I was about 5kg's heavier when I returned and looked a little unfit, it felt like fat in every way. I came back from Thailand and dropped 5kg's in 10days, would this be possible if it was fat? No way, impossible it was fluid. Your body may be temporarily gaining fluid for some purpose but until you know whether it's fat or fluid I will challenge you on that one ;-)

@FreeLee, Ha-ha. I'm getting stronger. I think my body is getting happy about running on sugar again. BS levels are being regulated better or something.

Correct, I didn't have any scientific BF % done, but I know fat when I see it. I'm starting to really like LFRV, and after long stressful work days I feel better. Especially my legs. I suspect I have gout, but have never gone to a doctor to have it checked/diagnosed.

As long as I keep improving I don't care if I gain a little. I don't think I've reached a state of homeostasis on this lifestyle yet, but it's coming. With extra motivation from my performance gains will come extra calorie burning etc... I know there isn't any long term fat LFRV folks, so I'm not worried about "getting fat". A little extra will help with buoyancy on my swims. How's that for thinking positive ;)

You're not getting fat Grok, listen to the long termers on this one. If you're getting fatter then how are you getting faster? You can't get fatter and fitter at the same time.

What was your bodyfat levels before you started 811? That's right you don't know so you can't objectively say you are gaining fat.

You're doing great Grok, I recommend you ease up on the fat talk or you will sabotage yourself at a subconscious level with that languaging. Sounds like you are finally becoming hydrated, great news!

Getting fat, but getting fast. I guess fast is more important to me, but it would be nice to look good. "Patience grasshopper" they say... (or at least DR does ;)
