30 Bananas a Day!

I am back home in Ohio with my parents with my two year old son for several weeks. My husband and I are still working out the kinks in our marriage, but it appears things are slowly getting back on track, and I am looking forward to seeing him soon.

I didn't think I would be able to keep up my 801010-ish lifestyle here, but it hasn't been hard at all. There are plenty of places to get fresh fruit here (OHIO) - and not too expensive. My parents also keep a fairly decent and large stash of fresh food here. My Dad has been bringing in fruit most nights for me, and they are supportive of my goals.

My Dad has a super coffee maker so I have been sneaking cups with soy creamer, but otherwise the last few days have been good. LOL. I have no access to my juicer and blender, thus I have been eating all my fruits whole and I really really enjoy it. My energy seems consistent and high. My mood has been pleasant and stress is low. Sometimes with the juices and smoothies, I have issues maintaining a full belly, the whole foods just seems to stick with me better.

Because I am eating all whole fruit my calorie intake is about 2000. I still appear to be getting adequate nutrition, according to cronometer. I also feel satisfied too. Here is what I ate today:

Breakfast: fruit salad with half a mango, 4 bananas and  some strawberries (cup coffee)

Lunch: watermelon (not sure how much --- maybe a little more than a third)

Dinner1: cup of pomegranate juice and tossed salad with an orange, cucumber, celery, alfalfa sprouts, scallions, hemp seeds, raspberry vinegarette ... still hungry, so I ate two bananas and some strawberries

Dinner2: more salad

I am fairly happy with the day. Of course I would like to eventually kick the coffee. And I didn't have access to make a blended dressing, but this one lacked scary ingredients and fat. (I know vinegar is a no-no.) For exercise I did zumba on my Mom's wii. I must say it is a pretty fun workout. I want to try the wii yoga, bc I don't want to mess up my progress in class (normally I take yoga three times a week).

I am really in a giddy mood. LOL. My skin has cleared up nicely from a sort of allergy rash. My digestion is good. Without the large amounts of smoothies, my poo no longer seems as runny. *sorry tmi!* I think I am sold on eating my meals instead of drinking whenever possible, even if I take in a little less. I just feel more normal.

Anyways, the plan for tommorow is to do yoga. And enjoy more mangos, bananas, watermelon, strawberries, oranges and lettuce. Watermelon is so odd to me, I can't believe it actually fills me up all afternoon. I would have never thought such a watery food could do that. I get no hunger pangs or anything --- so I will try to eat half of one tommorow...

Peace and love --- thanks for reading!

I know what you mean about the difference between eating whole fruits to smoothies. In summer I have a lot less smoothies too.
Thanks for sharing :)

Way to go Lala!  You know I gotta encourage you on defeating the caffeine beast.  Coffee and undereating go hand in hand... it will be easier to eat enough without caffeine and it will be easier to kick caffeine when eating enough.  Zumba on the Wii sounds fun!  Hugs to you.
