I love my CSA box delivered straight to my door! For me, I need my organic fruit search to be easy. My staples depend on the season and what's available from my local farms - they pick so it's cheap. When I want something extra, I make a special trip to my favorite markets - time permitting. So, this week $44 bought me a box with:
6 Fuyu persimmons <3
2 Red Pomegranates
8 Fuji apples
2 Eureka Lemons
10 Green D'Anjou Pears
10 Valencia Oranges
10 Kiwi

Comment by Meghann on October 25, 2012 at 7:24am Aren't they great?! There's a company here in London called Abel & Cole that do the same thing and I love them :) Love your little daily meal plan; we eat pretty much in the same way! <3
Comment by Ray on October 25, 2012 at 2:21am AnarchoFembot, I stay stocked on dates, coconut water, organic bananas, carrots and greens that I pick up at Whole Foods or Trader Joes - but everything else comes in my box and it's more than enough for one. If I don't juice, I actually have trouble getting through it all. I'll probably eat the box like this:
Breakfast banana cinnamon shake w/ two dates or w/ dates and any frozen berries and spinach I have.
Lunch
I always pack 10 dates and a coconut water for lunch with a meal from my box. This week, it will look like the following:
Day 1: 4 -6 persimmons,
Day 2: 4- 6 apples
Day 3: 4 pears
Day 4: 4-6 kiwi and a pomogranite
Day 5: 2 apples 2 pears and a pomogranate
Day 6: 5 kiwi
Day 7: Juice feast Oranges
Dinner
Greens and any sub fruit I have around. Sometimes I'll do a green juice or carrot ginger apple 2 hours before my salad but that's it. Just enough fruit in my box to have lunch everyday and to jazz up my dinner. Because my box comes regularly, I always have 1 box plus some from the week before - it adds up so sometimes I won't shop for anything more than greens and date.

Comment by Esperanza Vite - The Raw Monkey on October 24, 2012 at 6:22pm Yep, local, organic, seasonal produce is the best! :)
