Hello ^^
To start off, let me tell you a little bit of my past. Fall of 06 I graduated from some s***ty technical school and the same day I graduated; I also got hired at a civil engineering company where I am still employed at. I got hired as a draftsman and I got the sit on my ass job that I always wanted. At that time I was eating the standard American diet which was burgers, fries, meats, junk food, greasy food etc. and I hardly ate any raw fruits and veggies. I worked next to a Carl’s Jr. and that place became my “go to spot” for some grub. I ate breakfast and lunch there almost every day and when I got home, I’d eat the greasy Mexican food that my grandma would have ready for the family (grandma DOB 42, and sister DOB 88, and me 86). I love to eat! and at that time I’d eat whatever you put in front of me. I’ve always been able to eat more that the average human too! No one has ever beaten at any buffet challenge. I think I was made with a rubber stomach. All my friends and people I know would call me the human garbage disposal every time we’d go out to go get some grub haha!
After eating like that for years, it finally caught up with me. I became fat, unhealthy and less energetic than I’d ever been. I started getting more and more acne, not much on the face but mainly on my back and shoulders. The only exercise I would get would be when I went skateboarding but I noticed all the extra weight and loss of energy was affecting my game, big time. I knew I had to do something to better myself but I was lost in my own world where I believed everything that the mainstream media would feed me. I believed carbs were the enemy and I thought I all I needed was protein and the only way to get it was thru consuming dairy and animal carcass... I’m 5’-8” and my peak weight was 190 pounds in 2008, about the same time when the housing market was at its peak too.
During my peak, one day I was drawing up some plans on the computer when I noticed a lump on the upper side of my left hand just slightly above the wrist. My first reaction was, “what the hell?!” Then I poked at it, it felt hard but burstable. At first I thought it was cancer but then I remembered that I knew a pianist who was way overweight and had some type of lump on his wrist for a while too. So before I jumped to conclusions I went to him and showed him my lump and he told me I had a cyst just like he had and the only thing I could do was to get it drained or surgically removed just like he did. That bummed me out but I didn’t believe that was the only way to get rid of it. So after I spoke with him I went home and googled, “how to get rid of a cyst?” and I ended up stumbling on some health freaks website (I don’t remember what site it was) that said I could get rid of a cyst by detoxing and cleansing my body. That site had information about raw foods, enzymes, inhibiters and how the body is its own natural healer and all this other crazy stuff that just seemed greek to me.
After reading /researching into detoxing, natural healing, health foods and all that health freak crap I actually ended up enjoying learning and informing myself more and more about all that type of stuff, so I started youtubing into that too… I ended up stumbling into a video of some Jesus looking dude in a hot spring in the mountain (some of you might know straight off the bat who he is) who was talking about diseases and how your body can cure itself of illnesses and then he grabbed a jar full of some dark juice and said, that was his meal for right now and how he’s been juice fasting for some time. So I started watching more of his videos and I got completely inspired to get on a juice fast and so that’s what I did. I had a juicer in the house that was sitting in the cabinet for more than 10 years that no one ever used. Immediately after getting inspired I popped that 10+ year old baby out, cleaned her up and went to the local Food 4 Less and bought as much greens and fruits as I could (I didn’t care much for organic foods at the time). I juice fasted for 1 month straight! After that month, that cyst was reduced to half its size and the acne I had was clearing up quick. The first few days of juicing was tough, I started feeling sick, weak, my s*** would smell rancid as if I had years of waste that was clogged up in there and my mouth would get dirty quick too, I remember brushing my teeth and tongue way more than regular but I had already read that I was going to go thru detoxing and withdrawals so I was prepared for the worst to better myself. After that month of juice fasting, my life was changed! I lost a lot of weight, I got my energy back and from then on I began watching what I ate and experimenting with my body, in a good way. I didn’t use any supplements, no pills, powders, injections, drugs or any of that s***... I was all natural! I found that eating more fruits gave me way more energy and that’s what I wanted, so my staple became bananas. After 3 months of strictly eating raw foods, skateboarding and exercising regularly that cyst disappeared and never came back.
I’m so thankful that I stumbled upon this better way of living. Now I just hope I can find more people like me around. I’m also thankful that I youtubed, “raw food bananas” which lead me to Freelee and this website. She and Durianrider keep it simple and funny which is very important because nobody likes a boring instructor… I hope I can learn a lot here.
I chose to live this way for the rest of my life and every day I try my best to be as strong and as healthy as I can be… but of course no body is perfect, we all fall into our binges, some more than others… But even though I might fall, I ALWAYS GET BACK UP!

PS...but I am a boring instructor type...^!^
Just joking. I think we all bring our own gifts and talents to the table, and in the end, it makes a beautiful picture puzzle.
Peace, PK
