Some kids came over yesterday to my home (they were the kids of my parent's guests). They were really rambunctious so I decided to hide myself in my room to study. It turns out that without my or their parents noticing, they took my hamster out of it's cage and started playing with it. Throwing it. Until finally one of them missed throwing it to the other kid and my hamster went flying into the wall where he broke several of his ribs. I found him on the floor bleeding, panting for breath as I went to get some water. He died 5 minutes later in my hands.
If you have kids, please please please educate teach them that animals ARE NOT toys nor objects but rather living breathing beings that deserve just as much respect as they themselves.
I want to throw those kids into the wall.

Good comment Robert, so true. The parents did not get the love from their parents....it´s our turn now to love and only love. Like Perry said.
Comment by Perry Haldenby on January 10, 2012 at 11:31pm NOT FORGETTING ... The parents of the kids who did not show the kids how to love, WERE once upon a time children themselves who were not shown love also. The generational trail stretches way way way back. Brothers and sisters, we are the future. I believe it is up to US to learn how to love in a way which the world has never felt before. That means Love our enemies and truly learn to forgive. We have to take personal responsibility for our FEELINGS THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS. If any of the 3 are not loving, it will only cause more damage and an un loving world.

But it is true, we have to love and understand those who do it to. It doesn't lie in our nature to be cruel, nor feel pain, so we have to understand that theese kids are in pain to. I know it is hard, it still feel anger towards people who can eat meat, but anger leads nowhere, only understanding and acceptance does.
But girl, I just watched earthlings and it hurt so much that I cried myself to sleep last night. So to watch your beloved animal die in your hands... I can not imagine.
Comment by Robert K on January 10, 2012 at 10:26pm I want throw the parents at a wall. If your kids act like idiots, it reflects what kind of parents raised the kids.
Comment by Libby on January 10, 2012 at 10:21pm That is so sad but I have seen this behavior in the way kids treat each other recently... And then I hear their parents telling them to Stop being a c*** and to shut the f*** up on the bus I was on the other day and suddenly their violence made sense.
I think if you Love children unconditionally they will learn loving behavior, abuse them and they will learn pain, and how to inflict it.
My heart breaks for you it's never easy losing a pet especially in such a way. I bet he was grateful to be loved and looked after at the end. <3 xxx
Comment by jamielor on January 10, 2012 at 10:04pm This is why raising kids in this society is so difficult.
Comment by Perry Haldenby on January 10, 2012 at 8:22pm Sorry about the hamster it is sad, but Dont forget to LOVE the kids TOO ... They need to be shown in a loving way that its not ok to do that. I never learned about LOVE when my Dad actually did throw me at the wall, it took 4 stiches in the head heal the cut !
Comment by Love on January 10, 2012 at 8:14pm I'm so sorry that happened to you Riela. :-( I've lost pets and the pain doesn't go away very quickly.
Do those children realize that your pet died? Or did they just run out of the room when one didn't catch it? Get distracted by the next ball of yarn dangled? More children than we realize can be very cruel and ignorant. I think they need to be made aware in as strong away as possible yet not traumatically of course that they get the wrong message.
