When it comes to health, energy, and optimal weight loss, the state of your digestive system plays a huge role.
Your body can be compared to a car. Just as a vehicle requires the proper fuel to run properly, so does your body. What happens when diesel fuel is added to a non-diesel car? Well, the engine is compromised and will soon shut down.
It is no different with your body.
With the right fuel (fruits and vegetbales), your body will run like a clean Ferrari engine. However, when you put things in there that are far from what we can call food, then your body, like the engine of a car, becomes comprimised. Eventually this leads to sickness and chronic diseases. So why not feed your body the proper fuel. Would you treat your car better than you would your own body? I didn’t think so. So why put the wrong fuel in your own body?
Everything that you eat has to go through your digestvie tract to get fully processed. When you eat processed foods, junk foods, meat, milk, eggs, cheese, and high fat foods, these foods take a very long time to leave your digestive tract. Sometimes they can sit in your body for days at a time, rotting and causing bloating, gas, etc. With this backup, essentially your digestive tract becomes like a traffic jam on the freeway.
Just think for a second what it is like to sit in heavy traffic on the freeway. Not a pleasant feeling right? In situations like this, you can become cranky, heavy, frustrated, and just plain tired. No one enjoys sitting in traffic. So now compare that to the way your body comes to feel when it is backed up like a traffic jam. When your body is backed up like this your cells have to take on extra garbage. With extra toxins in your body, your energy drops dramatically and weight loss becomes extremely difficult.
Fast Moving Foods
It then becomes important to eat food that moves very fast through your digestive system. The #1 and #2 fast moving foods on the planet are fruits and vegetables. When you eat a melon for example, in 20 minutes, it has gone through your body while water, vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients have all been properly absorbed. The same thing goes for a nice salad or other vegetable dish.
Becuase fruits and vegetables move quickly once inside your body, very little residue is left behind. As a result, your cells do not have to take on extra baggage and can remain clean and healthy. Once your cells are clear of extra toxins, weight loss is streamlined and your energy levels rise.
So for energy, fitness, and over all health, fast moving foods are essential. The more of them you have and the less you eat of the heavier slow moving foods the better. This is just another reason fruits and vegetables are ideal for the human body while fast foods, animal foods, processed foods, and other junk foods simply are not.
So remember, if you want your digestive system to be like a fast moving highway while your body vehicle runs smoothly like a car engine, then feed it the right fuel, basically fruits and vegetables!
