I used to cut my hair 1/8 to 1/4 inch short with electric clippers, and I would itch if I didn't have frequent showers. I used to cut it this way for cleanliness and simplicity.
With the vegan lifestyle everything about my body feels cleaner, and I've since been growing my hair out, and it's not as itchy (except for the bug bites I got last night while at the beach).
Wondering if it's the longer hair? The fact I stopped using soap of any kind in it? The clean diet? Or the more sunlight I have been getting since I feel like going out more on this lifestyle?

Comment by David Costa on August 10, 2012 at 8:39am I've had bad acne on my upper back for years, seems like it flared a little after going vegan, then I fried my back in the sunlight cycling around with no shirt on and saw a big reduction in it. Seems more like the sun did it, first time I had any significant sun there in years.

It is the clean diet. Plus, many scalp issues come from high protein diets and or high grain and gluten based diets. Many people are gluten sensitive and do not know it.
Plus, you are eating lots of vitamin and minerals that are going to rebuild and repair you tissues. Look forward to more positive developments to come and this is only the beginning!
Peace, PK
