After about a month of raw vegan, I hit the wall of salt! I am definitely trying this salt-free dressing recipe- or something like it- to deal with my cravings tonight!

Does anyone else have great tips for salt cravings- either replacements, recipes, or encouragement?

Thanks April and Rob.
Yeah, I think adapting time is definitely needed, but when I get into a state of craving, a replacement is needed to simply defer my obsession..
Yeah, sleep could be an issue for sure. Is kelp like seaweed? I read from an article posted on 30BaD that seaweed is made of animal cells, therefore not a plant! ?

Also you could be craving salt because your adrenal glands are a bit weak. Sleep helps a lot, but you can also use licorice root, astragalus or something to help strengthen you adrenal glands. Sea vegetables like kelp or dulce can help too. Just keep in mind these foods are pretty concentrated.
Hope that's useful! =)
Comment by ApeGirl April on July 17, 2012 at 8:26am Tomatoes and lettuce taste so salty to me these days. Just eat enough fruit calories, stay hydrated and give your taste the chance to adapt. Keep busy with your passions whatever they may be and you'll forget about salt.
