30 Bananas a Day!

I have never eaten so many bananas in my life lol

Hi. I have been pushing back the time when i was going to write this blog until now when it has become ridiculous to wait any longer. Hum. I said i was starting 100% raw food on friday, but actually i havent been able to. I have been raw for breakfast and lunch since then but cooked for dinner, and not the good kind of cooked. But tomorrow is a new day. And i will keep on trying til i get it right. This said though i have been eaten raw very nicely. I have been careful to try and eat all the alories i need, roughly, i am not calculating everything. And i am doing better than i have ever done on raw food.
Saturday: breakfast:3 bananas wrapped in lettuce leaves
Lunch: cooked( will not name culprits)
Dinner: a delliiiiiicious mega salad of pineapple, chinese lettuce and flat leaf parsley. That was heaven

Sunday: breakfast: 3 bananas
Lunch: cooked
Dinner: cooked. Was on my course in traditional chinese medicine and could not do any better

Monday: 3 bananas wrapped in lettuce leaves
Snack: apples x5
Lunch: mega salad same as saturday, pineapple+ chinese lettuce+flat leaf parsley/ 3 bananas
Dinner: cooked

Tuesday: breakfast: 3 bananas but felt like i should have eaten double that once i left for work, so will do that
Tomorrow
Snack: 4 apples
Lunch: smoothie made of 8 medium bananas, handful of berries and chinese lettuce
Dinner: cooked

Any day i am hoping to get rid of the cooked food and eating a coup,e of raw meals instead.

That is the most bananas i have ever eaten, and happy to notice blood sugar levels going down slightly, as i am diabetic i will keep close eye on this. I also just received a raw food book: raw extreme manifesto by Fred Ho and at first i thought it would be great, and now i am not so sure after reading a few pages. I normally hate any form of extremism and that is what he suggests to do as a better way of living. Hum... We will see. Maybe i will still find great ideas in there who knows. Have a banana day. :)

Jessie, I know what you mean about the pineapples, but I think I've finally figured out how to correct for that.  It just takes them forever to ripen. And, I mean, the outside skin has to start look kinda funky (not moldly, but probably would soon thereafter) before the pineapples I've been getting are sugary and not acidic.

Thanks a lot to all of you. But see it is already so tough to get into this diet that at the mo i dont want to get my head into so many paramettres and instead try to go for what is easiest and raw and low fat, because man my stomach just cant take ten bananas in in one meal yet. Will have to get there progressively, but yeah i get wht you saying and also i know that if i dont get enough cal i will get back to raw foods. I will try to add more on each day till i get there. But you have to know though that i am already doing way better than when i ever tried to attempt raw food before. I used to have about 3 apples as breakfast and nothing til lunch that used to be a smoothis with about a banana and a half, some other fruit and some seeds or nuts. So i am progressing very nicely, but not all there yet, but just give me a little bit more time. Let me work on that stomach. And again thank you. :)

I strongly recommend that you get cronometer or another program to track the calories and nutrients you're taking in. Of course, some of the parameters will need revising, but at least you'll have a better idea of what you need to eat.

the reason you're caving in on the cooked food is because youre only eating 3 bananas for breakfast! HELLOOOO not enough calories. i eat at least 10….sometimes 15. :)

Congrats! Watch out for pineapple though. If you are not living where it is grown it is overly acidic and should be avoided.
