It's called a Biriba fruit in most parts of Latin America, but here in Trinidad it is called a Cashima Fruit. It is now my all time favorite food. PERIOD. It taste like the sweetest custard you have ever put in your mouth!

I have a feeling its similar to durian based on its looks and description. What body part does that look like? I bet both durian and this fruit are good for it.
has it got a high fat content or is it just like any other fruit? looks fatastic!
I assume that pictured is the skin of the fruit and that you have to cut open the fruit to get to the edible part! What common fruit does it taste similar to?
I've seen it but since I hadn't the faintest clue on how to go about eating it, I lacked the courage to buy it.
Cool stuff! Looks like it's the in the genus Rollinia
