30 Bananas a Day!

Can some women please share their experiences with me regarding hitting the 3000 calorie mark? I'm in the transitional stage of 811 (have to admit, more unsweet fruit than sweet) but feel myself fearing bananas/dates and also hitting the 3K mark. I'm at my ideal weight and I know that I may gain a couple of pounds eating 3K cals a day but my body should go back down to my natural weight, right? I've got a past littered with EDs and I feel a familiar fear creeping in although it's been years since I've been active with the EDs. I'll bring bananas to work and then they just sit and I end up freezing them because I'm afraid to eat them. I sincerely want to be eating 3K a day. Experiences???

i am wondering what age group everyone is in. i am older and wonder if that is a factor.

i have been eating this way for over a month (day 51) and i eat a lot and have lost 18 pounds. i had lost 20 but gained when i went over on fat - binged on avocados.

i beleive from my experience that 811 will not make you gain weight. if you over do the the fat you will gain but for some reason it is not like SAD. there really is something magical about eating lfrv.

if you don't start getting your cals in now...you will end up feeling starved, fall off the diet altogether, go back to cooked food and gain weight. if you fear fat, you will manifest it. TRUST the diet. TRUST the bananas to heal you. TRUST nature to take you exactly where you should be, as long as you let it, by eating as many bananas as you can! the more bananas you eat the greater you'll be! the more life force you will have! :)

I have to disagree. For long term success on this lifestyle, more than enough calories is a must! I can tell you that I did not start losing weight until I started eating over 2800 calories per day. The calories you burn are not simply based on how much you are exercising. There are many factors. What kind of job do you work? Are you using your mind, solving complex problems all day? Do you have kids to take care of?
I'm not an athlete by any means, just moderate exercise 3-4 times per week, and some days I eat as many as 4000 calories. Not only have I not gained weight doing this, but I have actually lost 11lbs since starting lfrv 6 months ago, eating all I care for!
If you restrict calories you can not expect success on 811. I get what Noa is saying, obviously you don't have to eat 3000 calories if you are sitting on your arse all day with absolutely no movement, and no mental stimulation. But really, like DR says, don't you want to have the energy to get through your day? Don't you want to have the ability to be fit? Don't you want to be slim & strong?
Eat up!

3000 Cal a day is a lot if you are not an athlete, and I mean serious athlete. You will definitely gain weight eating that much and not spending all that energy.
The consumption of your calories should be in relation to your physical activity. It's not like you have to get 3000 cal a day no matter what. It doesn't make sense. You want to get enough calories, yes, but you also need to pay attention to how much you burn on a regular basis...
