Well. . .considering how high I am off the excitement of the changes I'm making to my way of eating, it's not surprising that today, I attacked 811 with a joy and ferocity usually reserved for chocolate bars, one upon a time. Ha ha ha!
ROADBLOCKS/SPEED-BUMPS: I did notice one problem right off the bat: I did not eat enough for breakfast. I ate three bananas and felt so massively full, that I stared at the remaining two like "Uh oh. . ." I was going to force myself to eat them, but I decided to just save them for lunch. On certain days of the week (like today), I work at a horse barn. LOTS of manual labor involved (another change I made this year. . .left a career in the field of law to do manual labor with horses and dogs. Ha ha ha.). I figured I'd be really hungry after working.
But I wasn't! But I ate the bananas anyway, plus three more and a handful of dates. I know, for a fact, that I need to eat more today.
I WANT TO FOLLOW THE 80/10/10 LIFESTYLE. . .because I have never, ever been comfortable consuming animal flesh to use as fuel for my body. If I can live my life and be vibrant, strong and healthy without putting dead animal in my mouth, I would love to do so.
TODAY, I TOOK THE FOLLOWING STEPS IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE THIS LIFESTYLE. . .I prepared meals ahead of time, I assessed the 'fridge for quantities of fruits and greens. I've also found a buddy on 30BaD!
I CAN IMPROVE MY 811 by. . .learning to eat more in one sitting. I know that my success depends on avoiding the pitfalls that hunger and cravings can bring. Eating ENOUGH is one way to avoid the danger of hunger/cravings.
