30 Bananas a Day!

I have struggled for a couple of years now to get my daughter to eat vegetables. She would eat pretty much any fruit, but vegetables were always instantly rejected, unless it was a carrot or corn. Tonight, when I was chopping up veggies for a salad, she was watching me very intently. I asked her if there was anything she'd like to try and she pointed at the red bell pepper and asked if it was an apple. I told her no it wasn't, but it was sweet and juicy like an apple. Ten minutes later, half the pepper was gone! Then she munched on a chopped romaine leaf, celery, and cucumber. I can't tell you how elated I am to see her even just trying things! I am on cloud nine tonight, because of something so simple! It gives me a tingly feeling of hope for some odd reason....I'm just going to let myself feel this joy and hope it is a lasting thing!

Try to make food fun for children. For instance use cos lettuce leaves as wraps with whatever filling your daughter likes. I also cut peppers in half longways, remove the seeds and then stuff with fruit or veg.
