My goal right now is to be 70-90% raw, so by "spoiling my apatite" with about 400 calories of sweet fruit before a savory meal wipes out my intense desire for cooked foods.
I am pretty excited to find that this works for me because I have had some difficulty getting enough leafy greens in my diet, so it allows me to meet my carb needs for the day as well as getting two salad meals in a day.
It is a challenge restructuring the way you see food and think about proper meals in the raw perspective. Today my Mom told me that she wouldn't be able to sit there and watch me eat 3 bananas in a row because that is too bizarre to her, which made me laugh really hard because a normal meal of bananas is about 8 for me.
It's even more of a challenge being raw when most of society is cooked and is stuck to their cooked mentality. But I am just light-hearted about it and try not to divulge too much information to people who wold rather not know.
