Daily Thoughts
I did an evening workout and a late evening meal and got involved posting here at 30BAD, so I went to bed late! I used to stay up late a lot, and have been getting better, but still a habit I would like to ditch entirely. Along with the salt. I am so relieved for pay day to come and to go to the store for more fruit. I was out of everything but oranges today. The kids have eaten all the ripe mangos and I haven't gotten one yet, but very soon. :) I am also ordering dates today. Yay!

Comment by Greenmama on April 14, 2012 at 7:34am Thanks for the advice Huckleberry Hound. I went 4 months without salt before, so I know I need to just rip the bandaid off. Hard for me to eat cooked starches without salt. Thanks for the beautiful 40, Jon. :)
Ben, I ordered Black Sphinx dates from Fruitarian Vibes (fruitarianvibes.com). Never used them before but some people have raved about the Black Sphinx dates and the price was reasonable. Quantities are very limited according to the site. Someone also recommended that I try Oasis Date Gardens (oasisdategardens.com) because the dates are great, but the shipping was $23!
Comment by Huckleberry on April 14, 2012 at 6:27am I used to stay up late a lot too but I've made a lot of progress...now I consider staying up after 10 too late which sometimes still happens. At least its the process of going in the right direction.
When I first went lfrv salt was a challenge (as a former salt fiend). I weened myself off quickly, like ripping off a bandage swiftly, to get it over with. I used dulse and herbs in my savory salads in those early days which helped my transition. I ditched the dulse and continue use herbs ocassionally to satisfy my palette. I find I even use those less than I used to and my palette is quite happy!

Comment by Iron Clad Ben on April 14, 2012 at 3:15am Where are you ordering dates from? I got a note from 7HD a while back that they were completely sold out... and I never even got a chance to order medjools!!
Sonny Mery replied to HoneyBee's discussion water filters, water distillers, what to use, I found some good info
