What a day. So I slept almost nothing, stressing out about all the things I should do and ending up doing almost none of them (and spending waay too much time online instead). Still feeling sick, but getting better-ish I think. I did sleep a bit during the day, which made me feel better (surprise surprise).
Tomorrow I'll leave for the meditation retreat. I'm really looking forward to three days without Internet and phone, without talking, in silence and in the Now.
Tommorow morning, before leaving, I have a doctor's appointment that I set up before I got sick, to check my blood levels. It's going to be interesting to see how that goes... I expect vitamin D to be low, probably also iron, and maybe B12 as well. But... I'll see :-)
On a different note: the chromium supplementation seems to work. I don't think I could have eaten almost a whole watermelon without belly trouble otherwise. Eating fruit without pain, I love it!
Breakfast: juice of 9 oranges
Lunch: 4 plantains
Dinner: 4-5kg watermelon
Exercise: not much, just biking around town to go get things, maybe half an hour. Plus 10 push-ups on my knees.
Meditation outside on the grass, maybe 15min.
