Holy cow! I don't mean to be crass, but I don't think I've ever peed so much in one day in my entire life. I have pretty much peed my brains out today. Wow! Not a complaint, really. I'm just fascinated! I had no idea a human being could hold this much water or urine!
Today was a fantastic day for me. I still didn't reach my caloric goal, but I did get it way up there! I'm working on it! My percentages were much better today as well. Yesterday, I ended up around 90/5/5, so I was happier today to be much closer to 80/10/10-ish. :)
I also added a new fruit to my menu. . .MANGO! You'll be shocked to learn that despite where I currently live (southern area of the U.S.) and despite the fact that I have a part-time home in Costa Rica, I have never, ever had mango. I've had papaya, which I found to be quite disgusting (no offense to those who like papaya. . .my husband loves it), but never mango.
It was DELICIOUS. I ate three of them. . .very ripe, very juicy.
I easily met my 3L water goal as well.
I did have a bit of trouble today, though, as I met with my father for some recreational activity. We shoot targets once or twice a month, just for fun. (Yes, I own guns. No, I've never shot a person or an animal.) My father is ex-military and we like to just go out to the range to shoot together. Anyway, he wanted to go to lunch afterwards and, being in the deep south, we ended up at a barbecue place. Because I wasn't really ready to deal with the explanation of me being "raw vegan," I had to think fast! We sat down and the waitress came to take our order. . .I asked for a glass of ice water and, after my father placed his order, I looked at the waitress and said "I know you guys make the banana pudding here in-house, right?" She said that they did. I told her that I'm just recovering from a terrible stomach illness and asked if she would mind asking the kitchen if they would just send me up about three or four bananas and that I would pay for the price of a meal or whatever. . .I just wanted to have lunch with my dad and I thought my stomach was ready for it, but upon smelling the "delicious" food, I realized that I really wasn't. . .
THEY WERE SO NICE TO ME! They sent out a plate of perfectly ripe bananas and half the ladies that work there were telling me their remedies for stomach ailments. I felt kind of bad lying, but whatever. . .It's what got ME through the day and kept my day pleasant. Ha ha ha!
I WANT TO FOLLOW THE 80/10/10 LIFESTYLE. . .because I would like to know that I've done everything I can to , biologically, feel my best.
TODAY, I TOOK THE FOLLOWING STEPS IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE THIS LIFESTYLE. . .LIED TO AN ENTIRE RESTAURANT JUST TO GET BANANAS! HA HA HA!
Peace, love and lots of fruit!
