I really haven't been concerned about getting enough calories on HCLF (because I do have a healthy appetite that I haven't supressed since becoming Vegan one year ago. In the past year my body has healed tremendously and it trusts that I'm going to feed and treat it well). But I was still happy when I plugged in yesterday's foods and saw that I was right on target for the day.
I decided to start blogging my food journal (I've been writing it in a book on/off for years) for at least the first month. I believe not only will it be a useful tool for myself to refer to down the road but it may help someone else along their journey. If not for anything else, it holds me accountable. For me it's never been an option to return from veganism. Deciding to become HCLF came naturally...it feels right. This new journey for me is about being true to myself, becoming more of an advocate, living life to the fullest, and treating my body with love and kindness. There will be no failures, only lessons. I don't strive for whatever society has deemed perfect, but strive towards being the best that I can be...
Yesterday's Food Journal-Feb.7/12
6 med bananas
12 dates
1 large apple
1 large papaya
1 pineapple (my tongue was not happy with me)
2 mangoes
1 large grapefruit
2 med zucchini
1/2 red bell pepper
1/4 avocado
fresh basil leaves
Today's Food Journal-Feb.8/12 (I'm in Switzerland so it's nearly dinner time here. Obviously I'm not done eating for the day but I know what I'm having so I'll list it)
8 med bananas
16 dates
4 apples
1 mango
1 small papaya
1 large papaya
1 mineola
1 zucchini
1/2 cucumber
fresh basil leaves
I haven't experienced any cravings, although I haven't had a craving or a 'cheat' in over a year. My height is 5'4 and my starting weight was 143.8lb (I do have a sufficient supply of body fat I would love to lose but my frame is muscular to give you an idea). My weight 2 days ago was 139lb.
