It's been three months since I found Durianrider and Freelee's videos. To say they saved my life is an understatement. My mother and grandmother both had quadruple bypass surgery. I was eating myself into one. Fast food (man I loved Big Macs and large fries), tons of soda, chips, crackers... it never ended and I never felt happy or satisfied. I tried many diets, none worked of course. I just kept getting fatter. It hurt to walk, to get up, to sleep.
Both my mother and grandmother have passed away. If only I could have known about this way of eating, my mother would still be alive. To see me happy and getting healthy. It was her dying wish to me, 'please, lose your weight, get healthy. I love you.' I cannot and will not let her down.
About three months ago I ran across one of Durianrider's videos and a light bulb went off in my head. This was what I needed to be doing. I stopped eating crap right then and there. It was so rough the first two weeks. So many times I thought, 'one little order of fries won't hurt'... but I knew it really would. I never caved, even though I thought I would go mad if I didn't eat some junk. I just kept going back to their videos and it would instill new strength in me.
When I started eating HCRV I was at 265 pounds. That's a 30 pound weight loss. I feel AMAZING. Happy for the first time, like there is hope. That I can be healthy and free of the food that was killing me. I am up at around 2400 cals a day and working on getting more in when I can. For now, the junk food cravings are gone and it's working for me. I feel satisfied with the delicious fruit and veg I am eating. I am also walking every day and doing Jillian Michaels Body Revolution program. Her "diet plan" says no more than 1200 cals a day! LOL. Unreal.
I am taking pictures every ten pounds I lose. I started taking them at 270 pounds. I am going to try and blog the rest of my journey.
Thanks for reading this, everyone here seems really supportive and helpful. :)
