30 Bananas a Day!

Oddly enough, today I got either a cold or hit by some heavy allergies.  Violent sneezing, sniffles, and sting in the back of my throat.  I was tempted all day to renig on my challenge, and postpone it -- keeping my cooked starchy dinners.  However, in a weird way, getting a cold helped me stick to it.  I figured what better way to knock it out?

Now I know its not technically raw, but I do have a half-gallon of Odwalla Strawberry C smoothie in my fridge that I bought before I decided to go on challenge, so you may see some of that on the next days menus.

Breakfast: 8 bananas, one handful spinach in a smoothie.

Snack:  25 small dates, one banana in a datorade.

Lunch: 8 bananas, one handful spinach, one cup Odwalla in a smoothie.

Snack: 47 oz fresh OJ

Dinner:  Corn based salad w/ kernels from 2 ears of corn, red bell pepper, cucumber, pea greens, cilantro, celery, tomato -- dressed with 2/3 avocado and lime juice and 1/2 tsp. mild chili powder.

(I was a little generous on the avocado, because this was my first raw dinner and I was so shaky about it today -- plus I had planned to use half, but when slicing it open, there were some bad spots, so after cutting all those out I figure I was left with 2/3)

OH! and I was particularly proud that I had NO SALT.  I would have normally put just a bit of salt in my diner salad, but resisted. It tasted fine without it.


Calories:  3666  with 33.4g fat.

Exercise: 40 minutes of butt sculpt Pilates.

I plan to take it easy and may not exercise for a couple days until I knock this cold or allergy thing out. Am trying to rest and sleep a little more.
