Feeling very positive and happy to be starting right now.
Starting weight is 231 lbs. My goal is 170-180, maybe less if I go for very lean 6% BF. In the last 4 weeks I have slowly got myself to making juices and swapping meals out. For the last 2 weeks I have had no meat or dairy. Feeling better for it already so I am confident that this will be life changing. Today I go HCRV, which mean more Bananas and no soup (had become a tad addicted over the last 2 weeks)
Up at 7 with a quick trip to the shops to add some more bananas. Back home I have started on 4 bananas already and 2 pints of water.
Weather is grim but still taking the dog for a walk.
Will do an hour's cardio later on.
Need to set up my water distiller and remind myself to take the B12 and D supps that I am taking.

Feeling lighter in mood and a bit around the waist.
Today I have gone on to smoothies and will easily hit the 3k calorie mark.
Loved Datorade and will have to find the cheapest way to source my dates.
Banana smoothies make it so much easier to get that many nana's down my neck.
Spent 2 hours outside with my dog even though it's a grim grey day here.
Comment by Sue Hoffmann on October 23, 2012 at 6:39pm wow that sound awesome! you will quickly get used to large smoothies :D
i have a 10 banana smoothie for both breakfast and lunch and nibble on fruit throughout the day.
yes, it is quite a luxury to never think of overeating and it is soooo enjoyable!
go easy on the workout and avoid overtraining, you might get injured (i sure did) and that will keep you from training at all. but if you feel good and don't bring your heart rate up too much, then that's good!
always keep in mind, that there are traps to avoid. cravings will show up, if you undereat and won't realize it in the first moment. you might as well experience some detox symptoms, so always get good rest.
have a wonderful day and enjoy limitless fruit =)
Comment by Jim on October 23, 2012 at 12:59pm Danke Schon Sue. Nice to hear that your folks have done well since the switch as well.
Smoothie may be the way forward to help hitting the cals. Never had this worry of not getting enough calories in the past, bit of a luxury haha.
In total I managed 15 bananas in total. 2 smoothies. Feel full but in a nice content way.
I did an hour of cardio today and walked my dog for half hour.
Feeling positive and looking forward to tomorrow :)
Comment by Sue Hoffmann on October 22, 2012 at 8:55pm I hear you, I'm in Germany, so winter is near here, too. There are differing opinions on wether or not to take vitamin d supps in this forum. i also take one in the winter time.
b12 isn't something we are all short off per se. there are studies that show that the body can produce it by itself if the right nutrition is given. other then that, we would get it from the dirt on our produce. if you do blood work, have it checked. don bennett has great information on both subjects on his site www.health101.org
you wrote that you ate 4 bananas in the morning. if you are struggling with eating enough, migh em into a smoothie. i drink a smoothie with 10 nanas every morning, so i get at least 1500calories from breakfast and lunch. since you are male, you'd need more.
keep us posted on how it's going!!! my parents are eating 811 since july and both lost so much weight, healed their health issues and are being commended for their youthful looks. so you can look forward to a great deal of wonderful changes!!!
cheers!
Comment by Jim on October 22, 2012 at 7:44pm Thanks for the post Sue.
Yes water first. I'd struggle to eat straight away so it's probably nearer to half hour after I get up before I start on the nana's.
I haven't been tested for B12 or D? B12 I assumed was something everyone was short off? D because we are now in to the winter months in the UK and it's very dark with very few hrs of sunlight.
Comment by Sue Hoffmann on October 22, 2012 at 7:35pm hi jim, great path, that you are on! keep going!
do you eat the banana before the water? always drink a liter of water first thing in the morning and wait 15min until you eat something, if you don't already do that.
have you been tested for b12 and vitamin d deficiency?
