30 Bananas a Day!

I'm from Ohio, but visiting my friend in Colorado for 10 days. It is so beautiful here...the mountains are magical and there are so many eco conscious/healthy people. I was worried about traveling here and sticking to the diet, but so far I've been doing pretty good. I brought some dried fruit with me and I made my friend take me to whole foods yesterday. She was horrified at the amount of bananas I bought. I was horrified that the price of a super teeny watermelon was $5. I was like I could eat 3 of those in one sitting...how am I going to survive here?! haha I ended up spending $50 bucks on some bananas, grapefruit, dates, and mangos. Thats double what I would pay in Ohio and I thought I had it bad there. I'm not going to dwell on it though and remember I'm on vacation so it's ok to spend a little extra. And serious props to any of you who can bike up mountains...it looks miserable haha

welcome to colorado! i live in vail, co if you ever want to come visit the rocky mountains or go skiing. yes, the price of food/cost of living is more expensive in colorado but as they say - location location location .. because it truly is .. magical. too bad we dont grow bananas here though ;)

lol thats where I go to college!  and yes, food prices do suck, but I mostly do my shopping in Sprouts, the farmers market lol sometimes organic produce there is cheaper than the conventional.   And the view is spectacular : )
