Is anyone else having this problem ? im on day 7 and im always pretty cold but i exersice at least one time a day and am pretty active, somtimes 2 times a day. Im worried about this... im getting about 2500 calories usually, sometimes it goes up to 3000.
I´ve heard this is lack of oxygen through the body, and i always had blue fingernails when i had anorexia and wasnt eating enough. Im worried, am i not eating enough? im a girl, 19 years old 5ft5 and about 130lbs.
My ratio is usually about 9/5/5... but i dont put in to the cron-o-meter the 1 tablespoon of fish oil i take every morning to get in my vitamin D.. cause i live in iceland and we dont have alot of sun. It also has my daily need of vitamin E and omega 3 ...
So i wouldnt think its lack of fat or anything.
Im also drinking about 3-4 l of water per day
Help anyone??! im really worried !

Comment by Esra on November 24, 2011 at 4:20pm This is interesting. I used to have the blueish tint under the fingernails back in the day before I became vegan, but ever since I started 811 my nails look amazing, and they have a rose-y tint.
Just like everyone else said, cut out the fish oil! And I'd also go for higher calories (~3000), to feel warmer :).

I'm not sure about the blue fingernails, unless it's past things catching up with you?

Are they blue all the time? Mine become purple, but only when I'm really cold (like after eating banana ice cream). Usually goes away pretty soon.

Comment by oxabbsxo on November 24, 2011 at 8:02am fish oil isn't vegan, so i'd swap it out for a different D substitute. but a vitamin D substitute is a great idea if you don't get a lot of sun.
the bare minimum you should be eating is 2,500. you have to add more calories onto that because you live in a cold environment AND you exercise.
if i were you, i'd be going for a minimum of 3,000 a day without exercise, and then eat more depending on how much you exercise.
