banana-buying dream

Last night I dreamed I was in the check-out line at the grocery store and, as usual, was asked, "What are you going to do with all those bananas?" But I realized the person asking wasn't the cashier but the customer in line behind me. Annoyed, I gave my usual response: "Eat them." But then she said, "Really?! Me too!" and I looked at her cart and it was full of watermelons, and then I noticed she had a second cart full of bananas and a third cart full of oranges or something. Anyway, I got really excited and asked, "Are you 811?" and she just looked at me confused. She said something like "I just love fruit" and I was really disappointed because I almost found a frugivorous friend. (Obviously maybe I did and she just came to it a different way, but it was just a dream so this didn't occur to me then.)

My husband and I were both vegan, and it caused some tension with others sometimes, but we were vegan *together.* I'm not going to push him to eat like I do, but I think I miss having someone to share my food weirdness with.
