Anyone out there want to join me on Watermelon Island?

My experience so far on Watermelon Island has been nothing short of miraclulous. I never thought I would stay on for as long as I have. 4 days in total without any cravings for anything else. (* unless I get an unripe or tasteless, or rotting watermelon, so sad when that happens) I am not jonesing for anything other than my next watermelon meal. I have to say, not only is it cleansing, but without the variety and the addictive cooked foods to get in the way, I am really liking the way I feel and function. I am on another level. I almost feel high(but without the drugs. I feel a bit lighter. Can't say I feel that light yet, but surprisingly, I am even drinking some water. I am not exercising as hard or training for a marathon like I was in these past few weeks, so I am just taking it easier, b/c I really do feel that this is as close to a water fast than I once thought. Yes, I have lots of energy, but I feel without the sodium, it can be depleted very quickly on a mono diet.

I am seeing good results so far. No fatigue, no fogginess and more* happier thoughts and moods.* I can't help but smile even when nothing struck me as funny or anything. I am more clear than I have been in a long time. I am really hoping to do this for as long as it feels good. So far, so good! I hope to see some real results and go for about 2 weeks if not a bit more like maybe 5 weeks total. One day at a time!

I am usually having about 2.5 small / med watermelons a day.with about a 45-1hr workout of cardio a day. I may add in weights. I find I am not hungry. I am finding out what tru hunger feels like and getting rid of bad habits like eating when not hungry. I get hungry about every 2-3 hours in between. I find that I am functioning fine and not wanting more than I am eating. Everyday seems to be the same amount of caories ..which is coming to about 2000 calories(which I find are sufficient enough for me right now. I think this is the greatest cleanse.

I originally started this because I was eating some cooked foods and really becoming addicted again and needed to restart and clean out the engine so to speak. I also was in pain from an allergic reaction to a sunburn that I got and watermelon seemed to be the only food I could tollerate, so I stuck with it and wanted to get some results. The weather in New York was so hot these past few weeks it seemed like the right way to go. Now it is surprisingly cold and I need to adjust to the weather. I will try to stay indoors more and paint rather than spend that much time cold outdoors, so I can conserve some energy. I really think this was a pleasant and unexpected turnout.

Well, I went on only watermelon for 6 days and it was very cleansing. Only thing is there is no fiber and no sodium, so keep the workouts light and short.

I have a question. Has anyone heard if watermelon should be an all day fruit only? I have been on other all fruit diets that required you to only start the day with watermelon or eat it all day. In other words unless you eat it all day only start with maybe 1/4 watermelon and then stop and don't go back to it if you've switched fruits. I think the same thing is said about grapes. Just curious if anyone else has heard this.

Okay no more posting about my terrible food dilemna. I couldn't sleep a wink last night after all that food and was sweating up a storm. Today is oranges all day and I can't wait to eat them. I could eat food if I was paid to today!

I meant two food meals a week as in cooked dinner on Wed. and one on Sat. or Sun. depending on social things.

I hope this isn't damaging to individuals that are strictly 80/10/10 but I am being totally honest. The only way that I have been able to stay on my way of eating strictly fruit is by allowing those two food meal a day. I have to say that I am not able to eat as much cooked food as I used to. I used to eat 2 Burger King whoppers, lg. fries, soda, and tons of dessert for one of my food meals. Still I lose on that but my body can't cope with that any more. The "benefit" for me eating those 2 meals a week (and I am not promoting this or trying to discourage anyone) is that it makes me crave fruit like crazy after having all that heavy food. Now today I fasted until 4 p.m. I was still not hungry after my fruit day yesterday. I just drank water and when I got home I had a venti caramel Starbucks frappuccino. I ran 3 miles and will have a chicken breast with a huge bowl of coleslaw and yes, dressing on it. I may have a soda with it and a cookie. That is a far cry less than I have had in the past. I hope this is permitted to post this but I am being totally honest. For me this whats helps me get through an all fruit week. I will never give up my fruit days. I love fruit and what it does to me with a passion. Hope this helps and doesn't hurt.

that big tub was when he first transitioned. Nothing was on it..maybe lemon squeezed..Tea is fine. I just went off of W.I. btw..Rainy and cold and I needed a break..Gonna jump back on tomorrow. I just have this problem staying commited all the way through..I don't know why. But I get right back on and I will do ok..I should do what you are doing...I used to love that way of eating. 5 days on and 2 days off.

Oh about the cold. I have a hard time when it gets cold especially when we live in Minnesota. I am in Arizona now so it is much easier. I would drink warm water with my fruit in the cold months. Okay and sometimes hot tea but I know that is a no no. It kept me on fruit though. What does your husband do when it is cold? Does he really eat that huge tub all full of greens. What kind of dressing was on it in that video?
