30 Bananas a Day!

After 3 and a half weeks 811-ish with 1 cooked meal a day, I'm back with the 100% raw.

This isn't a case of feeling like I should eat raw again, it's more that eating a kilo of potatoes was getting a bit laborious, even in a nice tomato based soup.  It's so much easier to eat a kilo of bananas!  The transition back to raw felt completely natural.

I've had 3 days raw food now and my energy is back up and I'm feeling great - hopefully this will stay a bit longer this time.  I'm doing things a bit differently now, thanks to the advice on this site and particularly the people who commented on my last blog - thanks!

Mainly, I'm now having a big salad in the evenings.

Also I've bought a juicer and am having green juices roughly every other day - I don't expect this to be a permanent habit, but I want to make absolutely sure I'm getting plenty of micronutrients.  I'll do this and then maybe experiment with phasing the juices out.  It's better, I think, than going on to 811rv and not keeping it up because I'm lacking something.

If I start feeling drained again, I'll be watching my sleep and water to see if I may be lacking.

Before I was weighing my bananas with their skins on, thinking that it didn't make much difference.  When I weighed my skins one day I found that I needed to multiply the total weight of my bananas by 0.618  to get the weight of the edible part.  A big difference ... but hold on, where have I seen that number before?  (Go on - google it :))
