Was riding my bicycle 10 days ago, got hit directly from behind by an SUV that was going 40MPH driven by an old nearly blind man, I was thrown off the bike and rolled over the top of the vehicle and landed behind it, got 3 fractured vertebrae, concussion, sore ribs and shoulder and some bloody scrapes. Was carried 50 feet the investigators say. No helmet, had on shorts, a thin long sleeve shirt, thin gloves and a thin hat. Was carrying a 5 gallon water jug full of spring water I just filled up, mounted on the back of the bike.
Cops said I nearly destroyed the vehicles grill and roof :)
Ate fruit in the hospital, eating fruit since then, was eating fruit for 6 months before that, life including accidents like these feels too easy with lots of fruit.
PS: Ask for a DVD of any ct-scans you have done, fun to look at on your computer at home after, got thousands of images of my insides. Funny how we have teams of people that pick up roadkill and take them to a building to be irradiated with X-rays.
