30 Bananas a Day!

80/10/10 athlete's daily routine

I've been into 80/10/10 the past two and a half years :)

My schedule changed to being extremely simple yet productive. Enjoying EVERY single day as it is my last!

5:20 Waking up, drinking 1-2 L of water, sipping a 15 banana + grape juice smoothie while listening to some of my favorite songs, "One Day" by Matisyahu is a great one I like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRmBChQjZPs

6:00 I fill up two waterbottles, grab my Scattante cyclocross bike, and head off to do a 3 hour, 44 mile ride climb and descent off of Mt. Diablo's summit. Amazing views!!! A lot of wildlife, spotted a few tarantulas, mountain deer, jack rabbits, squirrels, and one time a mountain lion!

9:00 Back already to home. I eat 10 mangoes that I prepared from last night, and head on my bike for about 15 minutes to the YMCA (a popular gym in the US). Do 3 miles of easy swimming, get out, change, and lift weights for half an hour. I talk a lot to the guys over there that strength train. Then I do a 18:00 5k tempo run on a treadmill and go take a great feeling shower. Feeling refreshed, I stretch for a bit and cycle back home.

12:00 I blend up a 2K cal dateorade with mixed berries and sip it while listening to some more music :)

12:30 My roommate drives me and himself over to the UCB campus and I either study in the Life Sciences library (my favorite one!) or sit in lectures for classes.Between classes I eat at least 1500 calories of oranges, watermelon, apples, grapes, and/or sweet pineapple.  I help a lot of people by editing their papers or doing a bit of tutoring for fun. Sometimes I go to UCB's government meetings and speak my opinion up over there.

7:00 Getting home from a short drive with my roommate I eat three heads of lettuce + some spinach + an avocado + grape tomatoes. I like to wrap in grape tomatoes with lettuce and eat that way, tastes so incredible!! I prepare everything for tomorrow. Right after I read for an hour. Anything from philosophy, psychology, literature, to physiology, something that forces critical thinking.

8:30 I get ready for bed, chat and say goodnight to someone special I fell in love with :)

8:50 Knocked out!

Life is great! :D I'd love to spend the every last day of my life like this(: I feel really peaceful.

Thanks for getting back to me.  Hmm, simplifying the day sounds like a good idea... I tend to waste a lot of time :-D

Oh my, amazing you can pull this off, very inspiring. Don't know how you can exercise that much on a full 10 mango belly :D

mathyou: haha it's fun!

Raw Rebellion: you can always have room for improvement :)

Sophia, I eat about 7000 calories a day. I buy from a wholesaler and spend 125-150 dollars US a week. I live in the bay area of California. Sometimes they give me free fruit boxes when they are too ripe! I go shopping once a week on my rest day on Saturdays. Have I always been this active? For the past 10 years I have been a swimmer who practiced 3-5 hours a day and biked a little bit for transport. 811 skyrocketed my performance two years ago. The past year I've been getting into more cycling!

Asher, no "work" involved ;)

Wow awesome lifestyle! If you don't mind me asking, how do you afford all the fruit in college? Have you always been this active? Thanks! :D

Doesn't sound too hard. The 8:50pm-5:19am part that is.
