5/30 - TRYING TO UP MY CALORIES

Good evening!

First of all, thank you so much for your comments, dear readers! I'm crazy busy right now and we know how bad I'm at going to bed early so I'll keep it short tonight. But I hope to have the time to answer your very interesting remarks over the week-end.

SLEEP

Yesterday, I managed not to go to sleep too late. Unfortunately, I was awake as early as 5am but my day was ok in spite of that. I quite agree with what Organic told me - reading may be too much of a stimulation to me, especially if the book's interesting! Perhaps I should do some yoga poses, meditate, listen to some relaxation or nice peaceful music. I'll try and do that tonight.

FOOD

I've been trying to increase my calories today. I ate 5 bananas instead of 3 and some strawberries. Unfortunately, I forgot to buy plums and the bananas left are not ripe enough. So instead of increasing my calories, I've managed to eat less than usual. Damned!

- 1465 calories

- protein: 28.3g = 5.7%

- carbs: 365.5g = 90%

- lipids: 6.9g = 4%

Maybe if I declare today my overt fat day I'll meet my requirements. There! I've added 14 halves of walnuts and one grapefruit and it changes everything:

- 1754 cal

- protein: 34.5g = 6%

- carbs: 395g = 81%

- lipids: 25.8g = 12.3%

This Cron-O-Meter tool is quite fascinating! So is the fact that walnuts contain a lot of fat and not this much protein actually. Well,  it's all a learning process and I'll definitely do better tomorrow food-wise (hopefully!).

EXERCISE

I'll jump on my mini-bike and cycle for 15 minutes right now.

TODAY'S PLEASURES

- hearing the birds singing this morning was beautiful

- having a long nice talk in the sunshine with my good friend Iza was delightful

- we also had a lot of fun practising yoga poses with Iza, at work, and then tonight with my son.

WATER

I've just finished drinking my 4th litre of water.

Wools. Just take spook at how those14 walnuts increased your fats above 10% . Isn't chronometer great? So much info in an instant.

By the way, my husband and I checked out how much protein in McDonalds burger versus spinach. The spinach has more protein! So cool.

Great to see you tracking. But please try to increase your calories by eating (therefore buying) more fruit. Of course you can eat up to 10% of your calories from fat, but I predict you will feel and sleep better if most of your calories come from fruit. And yes, smoothies are the way to go. But also data are a great way to increase your fruity calories.

You are doing great. Sounds like you have lots of energy. Woohoo!

Yup, that's the awesome thing about cronometer.  You can see the truth about nuts.  LOL!  You are doing great and learning so much every day.
