Up to 4 miles per day of up and down hills on a combination of dirt roads and paved. Learned that the worse riding conditions are when the dirt road is slightly wet. Hands still bother me a bit but there's lots of breaking going down the dirt roads. Being out on a bike is so different from driving or walking. It's fast yet you're in nature, not just driving by. No bugs. Lots of wildlife, this week saw 3 deer, bear poop, wild turkeys, a bald eagle and a turtle, crossing the road. I'm ready to do the 4 miles twice in a day but need to find the time. Takes me 28 minutes and I'm progressively using higher gears, though can't tell exactly what since the numbers are all worn off.
