FOOD
Green juice for early morning, banana/date smoothie later on in the morning. Lunch banana/strawberry/blueberry smoothie. Mid afternoon bananas. Dinner was valencia oranges. I might eat a salad still, or just some more fruit, i haven't decided yet.
EXERCISE
10 miles on the road bike. A bunch of push ups; more than i've done in a day in over a decade, and i still have more to go.
I'm considering a jog later too. On one hand, i don't want to jog too much in the beginning, because i'm still heavy, and it hurts a little bit. I'd hate to injure myself from not realizing my limitations and not be able to jog for a while. On the other hand, i'm excited that i finally CAN jog. I loved jogging in my teen years, but as a heavy man in my 20's i couldn't continue that hobby. At my heaviest, jogging was pretty much impossible.
JUICING
I started my vegan/raw foods journey when i saw "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead" and "Forks Over Knives" on the same day. I realize that juicing is not a whole food. I still like it though. I rarely do it anymore, i prefer just eating fruit with the occasional big salad, but i have a bunch of collards, chard and kale in my garden that were ready to go, so i made a juice. I have decided to keep juicing in my life occasionally, despite the fact that it is not a whole food. I also occasionally juice valencias or grapefruit, but not often. Especially since i have so many juice-able vegetables growing in my garden.
ENERGY
My energy wasn't as good as it could have been today due to not getting enough sleep. I woke up about an hour earlier than i wanted to, and couldn't fall back asleep until later. I napped in the afternoon for about an hour and felt better after that. My energy, overall, has improved a lot recently.
FACEBOOK UPDATE: "For every "Like" this status receives, i'll do a set of 10 push-ups."
I posted this as my update. I didn't think people even read what i write half the time, but apparently everybody was at their computer tonight. I am mad at my friends right now, haha, but i'll love them again as soon as i get all these push ups done. Within one hour, i got well over 15 likes, and they just keep coming!

Comment by T on June 28, 2012 at 11:59am Thanks! You give me inspiration! I can't do high impact exercise yet either -- too heavy with slight knee injury. Your probably smart to take it slow. I definitely don't want some injury which impairs my ability to exercise for the rest of my life.
